i agree with "its to early to review a game like mag".but the author of this review seems to get the game right. he understands what zipper is doing even giving them credit for not just turning out another socom or generic shooter 101 and moving the shooter and online gaming in general forward to the 21th century. MAG's appeal is much deeper then most shooting games out there, maybe not for everyone but for those that understand mag and have a good list of friends to play with it is...

well for now disc swaping version it is. but as time goes on this is going to become a real problem for 360 versions of multiplats unless co's do like square did for ff13 and dumb down the game to fit old dvd tech

what you guys are failing to realize is this. halo reach for all the big numbers it will do is not a system seller for ms. this will be what the 4th halo game on the 360. any one who wants to play halo reach has a 360 already.
i tell you what will sell systems this year.
god of war 3, gt5, last guardian, even twisted metal hd, and the new ip by rockstar north AGENT.
mag may not be a huge commercial success but to the target gamer this will be critically acclaimed as a success. and mark my words the tech and what zipper is doing within 2 years will be copied by 3rd parties and ms. like it or not what zipper is doing is part of the future of online fps games.
p.s. from what i have seen in the beta this game, just like lbp will keep evolving over time as long as the community is active.
so lets figure this out. there are roughly 36 million xbox 360's out there. maybe half have hard drives. and if ms is lucky they might sell 3 million natal add ons. so where is the money for a 3rd party.
i much rather make a game for a 36 million user base then a few million that have a add on.
p.s. and this is only if they keep natal at 50.00 or less. and btw this is about ms making money always has been and always will.

you can spin it any way you want but the reason the 360 has sold more then the ps3 is price. a $1 item is ALWAYS going to sell more then the same catagory item that is $2. ms knowa this that is why they keep pricing their machine cheaper then the ps3. 6 million lead ? all of that plus another 10m in sales is the $199 gimped arcade machine.,

BTW watch what happens this week in japan when ff 13 hits. the 360 will be officially declared dead in japan. next up gt5 launch in europe the 360 will be declared dead there also. the only thing left will be ms usa sales that are sinking fast.
