huh. great article if you like the writing of a ten year old.
well now, lower cost stand alone bluray players.
this will clear the way for Sony to lower the retail on the ps3 if they choice without hurting the rest of the stand alone market.
anyway you slice it the ps3 is the best value in home electronics on the market this holiday season.
guys two things about home you need to understand
1 it is at heart a social application and will appeal to those with big friends lists or gamers who are apart of a clan or guild
2 what home looks like today is nothing like what it will be a year or two from now. it will be a evolving environment, responding to what the community asked for and wants.
you guys are quick
wow you played a demo for a whole ten min and reached this conclusion. wtf
also go to folding at home. life w/playstation is out now too
this is spin control at its best. and if they did make changes to accommodate the 360 then it is just plan sad. now everyone has to play a gimped game because of it
picked the game up today.
what will make or break this game is the online play. could be hella fun if done right. so far no one online to test it out
this is something Sony really needs to do. with everyone for xmas buying those new 1080p flat panels. the only thing out there that can truly take advantage of them is a ps3 or another bluray player at a higher cost. if you are waiting for comcast or time warner to give you true 1080p forget it. "Sony" hype your 1080p bravias, a ps3 and a copy of bluray dark knight and lbp game. now thats a xmas gift
this is a common practice. if you can't beat your competition with quality then beat them on price. the problem is if this doesn't work then the next step is to dump the product and start again like they did with the xbox 1. looks like history is repeating itself.
Sony on the other hand is trying the studio development(lbp,kz2) and adding new features( ie. home) approach first before having to resort to a price drop that will happen as their cost come down in the future. notice that ...
the real question is?
how many times have we heard that a 360 game would not be possible on the ps3.
answer never
Sony still has to watch the price on the ps3. it's still the top bluray player on the market and they can't lower price and upset their other business partners who have more expensive bd players out there
for xmas bring back the old mgs 80gig with a lbp or motorstorm 2 pack in a extra ds3 controller and a eye toy camera for $499, flood the big box guys like costco and sams with them for the holidays. add value don't cut price.
you guys are missing the point.
the online and extreme customization is what will make or break this game.
1 16 players online all pulling off insane tricks could be nuts.
2 you actually build your own custom vehicle that performs how you want it. unlike ms where all vehicles are the same only the skin changes
is it just me or does this game seem like it is as much fun to watch as it will be to play. always funny amazing, stuff
best idea yet.
article could be right emailed my pre-teen daughter lbp trailer and later eye pet trailer. 5 mins later reply email lbp looks good then next email oh i want that(eye pet)
ffx111 for japan is #1 if it ships in 09.
for rest of the world toss up kz2/gow3.
anyway you slice it, sony ftw
will be alot to choose from
btw HOME could be the most important 09 if it works
hey guys remember sony's 10 year plan. seems like they keep adding functionality and more and more developers are jumping on board and starting to get their hands around the cell. the future looks bright
you know the ps2 is still the biggest competitor for the ps3. up until this year most of the good games were coming out for ps2(gow2,persona3fes,etc)
come on sony ms dumped the xbox what 3years ago move on please.
i could see lbp not as big as say youtube but i can imagine LBP being a huge part of home. lbp having it's own sackboy style area in home
