I'll probably get a lot of disagrees on this but, I think New Vegas is one of, if not the, best game ever made.
The writing carries it so far, and the Shooter/RPG gameplay mix is very appealing to me. I turned off fast travel and used a motorcycle to get around the wasteland, giving the game a distinct driving aspect as well. So to me its a shooter/driving game/rpg, with all of the elements being excellent.

I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for this game to come out.
Not that I was actually waiting since I was born, but more in the sense, I feel this game will add new "Wow like" time sink into my life.
Which means in a nutshell, I'll be playing it for roughly 6 to 8 years straight, from now/tommorow until roughly 2020 or so...

I'm glad this game got funded. It's an excellent idea in my opinion (no idea how well it will be executed on...), with some real talent behind it.
Getting female Shepard (JHale) and Solid Snake (DHayter) on board put this over the edge for funding, me thinks.

There is absolutely no way they fix what they have done. It just all so wrong and backwards, none of it makes any sense, it's just some "green, red or blue for lazer colors" choice that is trivial to what the end of story of the the game entailed, which was the same for everyone.

I am actually fairly excited for Elder Scrolls Online.
A few reasons:
It has three factions. Sweet. Easy faction balance(any two outweighs the third) and political intrigue galore possible.
You can become the Emporer of Cyrodiil. None knows what this entails, but it sounds awesome.
Large incentive to "wander off into the sunset" and explore like any Elder Scrolls game.
