I understand why some of you will not do it (you want to win gift cards) but for some of us, this stuff gets old quick. I dont care if it was 2005-2006 with the ps3 or 2013 with the XBone. It's annoying.

Anything from the Windows 8 app store runs on RT and regular windows 8 pc's. You are unable to run legacy windows x86 applications on RT. Microsoft is just basically opening up the windows 8 marketplace (which includes RT/Windows 8).
But yes, I never wanted an RT tablet as I am a power user. The same reason I do not want an ipad. I like programs not apps.

There are many other features of kinect besides dancing games. Menu control and voice control.
I'm not saying they are good options, but they are there and it wouldn't be a total waste.

I loved Arkham City. I actually wished it were Bigger. Next Gen I really, really hope they make a Gotham City Game. They already have the Assets for Arkham City and Arkham Asylum. Add Wayne Manor and the rest of the city in there. Make us have to avoid the cops, Batman is a vigilante by the way, and sneak back into the batcave. Act as Bruce Wayne (detective) during the day, and Batman at night. I think that would be cool.
They didn't say cloud computing isn't possible, we use various forms of cloud computing everyday.
But....... they did say this type of stuff was not possible due to our internet infrastructure and that Microsoft were liars.
I truely believe that it's okay for the first 2 years. That determines if a console will survive or not. But if your console of choice and their competition are both selling well after the 2 year mark, grow some balls and give it up. They will both survive.
It will cost. You could just keep your ps3 or ps2 and hook it up when you want to play. Plus it's free.
I'll get both, but about a week ago I just decided to wait a while. I planned on getting a PS4 at launch but cancelled.
I have too many ps3 and 360 games to catch up on. It's really hard to do that with recording and family life. Add to that, I'm not the guy who has to have the newest everything. I made the mistake of jumping on the ps3/360 early at launch and never got back to my ps2 and xbox catalog. I'm not gonna waste any money again.

How is it a reversal? It seems as if Microsoft were just not playing all of their cards at one time. Surely they didn't all of a sudden come out and say "Hey, why not just make every console a dev unit?"
That was decided from the beginning, and they were probably gonna spring it up on a later date.
