NYC_Gamer... Suuuureee.... It was SOE's fastest selling game, even quicker than Everquest. SOE has been testing the f2p model for awhile with Freerealms and due to the success of that they are doing f2p from now on.
Because it was great game. People praise what GT5 did because its strengths far outweighed its cons. I don't see how people can ignore what shines in GT5 over a few cons. Some of the cons you mention, like damage, aren't any worse than in Forza and good enough once you get to higher levels. Yeah at level 10 it was weak but at 30+ it is much different.

Yeah I watched it and GT5 did look better but all I hear lately is just crap... Guess I was expecting more crap, especially from Eurogamer.
Well Callahan... The gamers, which are the people whose opinions matter, respectfully disagreed with all of those reviews. I agree most of the reviews focused on the negative of the game and blew it up out of proportion. Some even creating their own flaws out of thin air.
No more of this crap! We've had so much of it and the baseless claims... Why does the media seemingly want to paint GT5 in a bad picture? It's a great game, get over it!

I don't know, there have been plenty of reviews giving it good scores. He just doesn't like it, doesn't make it a bad game or change that others do like it. Just one review.
Actually, contrary to belief, single player demos have always been around even till today's date. Haven't seen anything but at gaming stores.
Wow people don't know squat about them do they? They aren't solely multiplatform devs... They are going to make one franchise multiplatform and still supporting Ratchet/Resistance.
No they aren't, Bend is involved with it. Bend had to get Naughty Dog's approval when they showed them the concept though and they got it. Bend are very well respected developers and made lots of great games for the PSP.
"Is this game worth my $60?" Yes it is because buying it new comes with an online pass for free unless you're a dimwit and bought it used for $60. You can't review it with being used in mind as a buying guide because they'd have to review it for EVERY price there is. Uncharted 3 review for $60, $55, $50, $45, $40, etc etc... I guess every game would be a 10/10 if it was free then huh? Write up a Free review!!!
