Nintendo mixed up the codename and the real title.
It seems like they want a consistent graphical package. I would prefer a few less normal maps and splitscreen with bots over multiplayer looking exactly like single player. Just look at Perfect Dark 64. It gave gamers more options than some PC shooters (minus online of course). It had multiple bot AI behaviors and four player splitscreen. It had framerate issues with all that going, but anyone could tell you that it was worth it. On the DS, Metroid Prime Hunters had bot integration and it kep...
Made a few good casual titles to make loads of money and then used that money to work on many hardcore titles, I don't think as many people would hate on the Wii ____ titles or scream Nintendo sucks whenever they whisper "innovation". Think about it. If they did this, I think a lot of people would be satisfied instead of calling Nintendo a traitor. I really hope this is what they start doing, because something has to be done with all that money the ARE making.
I think this was a well written article that managed to stay true to the facts while writing from unique metaphors to enhance the facts. The writer seems to be wondering if Nintendo tries to do what it did again and fails if it will really become Sega and the Dreamcast...
Come on, it's not like Nintendo enters "Justin Bailey" as the first line of their code and it magically controls better...
I just don't like the generalizations this guy makes about Wii owners. I enjoy most games so if a fun game is on any system, I will try to play it.
"My Wii started gathering dust after ten minutes of Wii Fit. There are only two or three good games on Wii and they don't count as much because fanboys gave them really good scores. Other Wii owners, I told you so. E3 is proof that my actions were valid and now I urge you to sell your systems and move on to bigger and better things."
"I gave up my ____ for ____ because ____ and now I am going to tell it to everyone out of spite for those who still like that system....
Pong beats this in terms of graphics! Learn to use your eyes! :)
We already know about:
Tenchu 4
Fatal Frame 4
Monster Hunter 3
The Conduit
Madworld
etc.
Why didn't he add on one of these other games?
the Star Wars/Rayman/CoD5 videos were shown... I think.
Yes, it is a conference, and yes, there will be interviews and demos later, but when stuff isn't presented when everyone (even most haters) is watching, it makes for a frustrating conference.
Did I mention this only comes once a year? It's like not getting a great present at Christmas, you will be upset, disappointed, and unable to see the good in what you got instead.
That is why this conference matters.
I agree it is making IGN look really stupid right now for saying "Kid Icarus and Factor 5 at E3!" They were even shocked (watch one of their wrap-up segments).
I am not sure if they are just biding their time or if they are sticking to close to a "business" conference with intermittent trailers and clever wording to keep bloggers awake?
Even if Reggie held up that list of games and a camera zoomed in on them I would have been a little happier. It's just disappointing for Nintendo to not even acknowledge these games.
Cammie can't stand this "high action" stuff and it would scare off the casual demo-Wait! they wouldn't be watching this if they were casual!
This game looks awesome, though. I love the announcer, especially at the end of the clip.
because I had turned down the volume to mute out cammie I-like-to-talk-down-on-the-aud ience and looked away to avoid that fake smile... thank goodness IGN had an article about it.
Be quiet, you can't say something on topic on this thread. It has to be about Wii sales numbers and its fanbase... :)
They are working on Disaster: Day of crisis, are they not?
They are talking about Xseed's game called Little King's Story or something like that. IGN had a preview about it here: http://wii.ign.com/articles... It fits the description, I think.
Why did IGN say that this game almost never misread an input, but Gamespot said the opposite? Same thing with the audio quality. IGN said it was incredible for the DS, but Gamespot said it was poor. I am a little confused. Did Gamespot assume this would work like GHIII on the 360 while hooked up to surround sound or something?
Yes, it is "last gen" gameplay. The winning formula was in a game on last gen systems. However, the gameplay is very well done, maybe even excellent if glowing reviews are anything to go by. I know you didn't say gameplay introduced in the last gen = bad/non-reusable, but you sure made it sound like it. Also, you said this is a perfect match. It is; playing RE4:Wii Edition is much improved over the older versions. You might even be bold enough to say it is implemented perfectly, all...
