If you are referring to the Amazon.co.uk best sellers list you are wrong. Currently X1 has one pre-order listing, while the PS4 has five pre-orders available. Combine all PS4 orders and you will find it far outstrips the X1 solo pre-order.
You will also find that the PS4 tops Amazon.com's yearly sales list.
Pre-ordered my PS4 back in February with Watchdogs & KZ: Shadow Fall. Will pick up Driveclub from the PSN.
Now that MS has lost the DRM crap, i will most likely pick-up the X1 Christmas 2014 when price drops to about £300.
I am not talking about using BT, there are plenty off apps on both iOs & Android that allow connections via Wi-Fi without a wi-fi hub being involved.
Also, from what i gather only one of the connecting devises has to be wi-fi direct compatible.

I am a good friend of a guy from Tokyo who i met at university, when it came to consoles this guy was Nintendo/Sony mad, he would not have a word said against either company, his friends back home were the same.
