Dude, you have just touched upon a subject i have been banging on about for ages on here but, the Xboys just brush it under the rug.
MS supposedly want a digital future, where games are downloaded to the HDD. Yet MS supply the X1 with a non changeable piddley 500Gb HDD, that thing will fill up in no time.
I guarantee you are not gonna have a digital future with 500Gb.
The £75 i save from buying a PS4, will go towards a extra game, the remaining £25 will probably go one or two cheap indie games from the PSN+.
As i see it, Win/Win all round!
For making vid calls, my T.V has a built in webcam & Skype(with voice control & hand gestures) or i just pick up my phone, PS Vita, lappy or tablet.
No biggy, certainly not worth the extra £75 for a never gonna use piece of tech like the kinnect.

It's called innovation, which, lets be honest, both don't have.
Both EA & Acti have been guilty of just slapping a corresponding number after the game title and kicking it out of the door for millions of drone gamers to buy.

While taking the "kids to the pool" i have enjoyed playing Ico & SotC via remote play on the PS3.

All your reasoning points to one thing, they have been altered in someway.
Ico, SoTC, GOW, etc they have all been made better, be it HD versions, adding trophy support, or Multiplayer.
I bought the digital version of TLoU from the PSN, i will not buy another version of it.
I just cant see Sony charging for games already bought games.

I'am going along the lines that it will be linked to your PSN+ account.
If you bought the digital download on the PS3, you will be able to stream it for free to your PS4.
I think Sony would be crazy & foolhardy to ask gamers to pay for stuff again that they only purchased last year for the PS3.
I am not sure how a physical disc would work though, maybe the disc would have to be in the the PS4 for it to stream.

Remote Play on the PS4/Vita is designed for a Local environment such as a home network, Eg: If your wife wants to watch a girly show on the telly, you bugger off to another room with your Vita and continue playing the PS4 on it.
A connection to the web is not required to to use remote play, as long as the PS4 is plugged into a wireless router it will work.
I understand Vita is an expensive bit of kit, but i have had mine for about...
