This is great. The game itself and its premise is ridiculous in the good kind of way. This is also ridiculous and fits well.

Sure, but monthly fees have never stopped most MMO publishers from charging the full 60 bucks! Then again this is a re-release of a game, so that might have something to do with it.
I'm a little surprised at the 40 dollar price tag for ps3. It's not like Square to sell anything less than the very maximum price. Then again, maybe this is the start of a new era for a once beloved company!

Yeah this is troubling. As pathetic as I find shoving these meaningful characters into bikinis and over sexualizing them, I think censoring might be worse. But, I'm a librarian. Any censoring flips automatic switches in me.
Actually, with my spotty net connection (I play over a local wifi that multiple people have access to), there really is no opportunity for me to get better. I can be facing another player and then all the sudden get backstabbed. This isn't an issue with the co-op portion because it doesn't affect how the bosses react to me, but for pvp not having a great connection is a huge issue.
That's not true. I have never invaded anyone but NPC Lautrec, and I am invaded every single time I log on and go human. If I ever want to co-op, I have to play offline until right before I tackle the boss and then hope I see two summon signs near a bonfire so that at least I'll have some help when the invader shows up.
I wish they would limit invasions to people who actually want to pvp. Otherwise I'll just play in offline mode and miss out on the good parts of being online again.

Love the game, but there are many Doctor Who story arcs that trump it.

Even in places of video game discussion we can't have a civilized conversation without resorting to "ass-kicking talk." No wonder developers cater to the violence loving crowd.
It's a thoughtful article praising the game, and lamenting that it could have been better without the egregious over-the-top violence.
If people would read the words and not just the headline, they might find less reason to bitch.
That's basically a giant message to gamers and shareholders that the game is going to suck. Duly noted.
