I still see this as a good thing. Sony makes good moves and MS copies (it probably will get MS a BR drive sooner or later), MS makes a good move and sony copies (ie. e3 coverage). Competition keeps prices in line and makes a better experience for gamers, lame-o or not.

Ok, so last night after a long day of driving in traffic from the pre-fourth celebration I got home, unpacked my things and told the wife I was going to play on the PS3 a bit. I got onto R:FOM and since I hadn't played in a month or two due to exams I was crap at my two best weapons (shotties and sniper rifles) so after a best finish of 3rd at the bus yard I said hey let me go into the home beta and see what's going on. So I connect to home check the news and head from my homespace to the gam...
I have been overcome with jealousy after seeing Mass effect, so this should put things back in their natural order.
usually the PS3 fans are saying the video is doctored and looks nothing like that on their screen. Meh - I think the thing that this proves is there will never be acceptance of any video comparison.

Because there is an extended market waiting for a good football game on the PS3. The PS3 fanbase will buy good games as shown by RFOM but there are many people waiting for more games on PS3 because of all the stories of 360 failure rate. Oh well PS2 FTW again.

the best thing the highdef formats could do for advertising is to start with standard definition feeds from my local cable company, point out a few compression artifacts and other issues then switch to Blu-ray. I showed my wife the difference between ABC on cable and OTA-HD broadcast of a Sun's game and she was like "WTF I feel like they are stealing money from us and putting crap on our screen as punishment"
