"Jesus Christ, talk about revisionism. MS fully expected to do well in Japan with the 360. They went all out courting Japanese developers, they hired a Japanese designer to consult on the system design, and they even "relaunched" the system there when the first launch didn't go so well.

anyway if you counted that only 10% used PS3 as a BR player you would still have a substantial lead in hardware.

Gotta agree with that, I know third party support is important but 1st/2nd party games from sony are gonna be amazing. (I HATE LISTS OF GAMES so I wont post any) When someone looks at a game thats from SCEA and likes it they will buy. I'm sure third party devs are seeing what can be done on the PS3 and are willing to take some risks in the future.

Dae- True, but I sort of saw it as him saying this may move consoles. I think if there is one game people always talk about for the 360 that will have that effect it is Halo3.
very surprising indeed. It sort of gives validation that KZ2 is on Halo's level. (I know thats reading into the comment a bit but not that much of a stretch)

I think the PR problem is that they think they are so great at discussing internal workings and ideas that they think people won't get alarmed when something seems out of wack

Put the Demo up. I'm pretty sure many people had doubts on this one but it seems as though those are fading for me as I am hearing good news on the gameplay. I still want that demo today. XBL has been getting a lot of demo love for E3 and yes i'm a bit jealous.
BTW anybody with an 360 wanna rundown there thought on the recent demos?
He could be just talking it up, but I doubt they expected to do as poorly in Japan after making that kind of effort. I mean they had to do cost-benefit analysis before devoting additional resources. I'm not sure how they could be profitable in japan considering they are just about to turn profits worldwide in 2008.
