I just read an article that showed that Iphone users are not willing to pay more than $2 for a game, and they have to compete with companies giving games away for free. The problem seems to be that Developers don't make much money off of the apps they make for Iphone and most of the income comes from in-game advertising.
We all know from lessons learned by Nintendo that you need to take care of your developers. Apple doesn't seem to care enough about them for the moment.
I would gladly pay for the ability to play my PS2 games on my PS3. There were rumours about that a while ago. Come on SONY!
Generally retailers make a very very small profit margin on selling console systems. I would not want to sell the PSP Go either if it wasn't going to make me money. So of course places like GameStop or retailers similar to them are not wanting to sell the PSP Go. However, larger retailers like Walmart will obviously have no problems with selling the unit.
I think it was smart of Sony to make something like this, and I can't wait to see GameStop file bankruptcy!!

I bought a HD DVD player to upscale my current dvd library, but I am still hoping that Blue Ray wins down the road. When it becomes more affordable then I will buy a blue Ray player.
oh, I thought that you meant monthly sales. It won't take the Wii long to overtake the psp if you consider that the psp has already been out for a while, in fact, if the Wii continues to sell like it is now it will have the psp beat next year.
I do prefer the PSP over the DS though. Games for the PSP are more satisfying, with the exception for Zelda Phantom Hour Glass.
I disagree that the dreamcast was horrible. The reason that it died was because of piracy, not because the system sucked. The dreamcast is my favorite console to date because of games like powerstone 2, skies of arcadia, shenmue and shenmue 2, soul calibur, and the list goes on.
However, I like it because the games on it were fun, and just because they make a dreamcast 2, I don't think it would necessarily mean that developers would make good games. Video games have change...
I agree. 14% seems really stupid, but it is alot considering that the sales for HD films have been low, but I still think that HD DVD is a dead technology. Hopefully when this paramount deal terminates they will go Blu and the battle will be over.
This was a brilliant idea, now they have just saved themselves all that money by not having to buy an HDTV. Wish I would have thought of that. LoL

Do you mean the PSP has sold more than the Wii? I am not sure how it is selling better, because Wii is outselling everything right now.
I am suprised that Wii play didn't show up on the list since it is one of the biggest seller. I guess that is because people bought it for the controller and not the game. LoL

One game will bring all others on their knees and that is Super Smash Brothers. More Wiis will go flying of the shelves than any other console. Look at the DS, it is still on top selling almost a half million each month. What people don't understand is that there is a huge Wii culture out there now. Wii is like a religion, no Wii is bigger than religion, and it is apparent that not everyone will enjoy the Wii, but that is their opinion. I love it when people like this state I don't enjoy...
With piracy being a real problem, could you imagine how hard it would be if hd-dvd beat out blue ray and blue ray when for storage on the pc. Less people would be able to pirate the media. I hope that is how it turns out.
