Well, guess what. The 360 is offering the exact same thing. With the release of XNA 360 users can create and download their own games (these games can be found free of charge on many websites). And those games don't look half arsed! Look at XNA Racer, that looks VERY good.
That is microsoft's answer to community created content. And as for the subscription fee, that's only at first. They're working on way...

Looks very good! Much faster paced than Chromehounds, hopefully they'll have the same amount of customization as Chromehounds.

Hmm, now why exactly would they extend the beta if it was just "cruddy graphics". That has no effect on the beta. It'll be because of network issues, and bugs.

Gears of War.
It's a lot better graphically and isn't your standard shooting game. I don't really care how many people you can play against online, as I think that the 4v4 that Gears of War offers in perfect for that type of game, it's a team based game and I can't imagine communacting COMPLETELY with a 12 man team.
Call of Duty 3 is, to me, an updated version of Call of Duty 2. Whereas, Gears of War is unlike anything else. (I think it's disimilar to GRAW).
And? Why do we need a good FPS at the moment when we have a BRILLIANT TPS coming out. Gears of War beats this by a long shot. Plus, Gears of War will require more skill to play. And, who can forget Lost Planet?! Which looks pretty damn awesome!
I don't know if you Sony Drones realise this but for a period of time the 360 will have the dominant RPG and J-RPG. It'll have the dominant Sports game, Table-top game, retro game, simulation game, Shoot em up, etc.
