Maybe it's comparing the fun factor of the games? I haven't played either game, so I can't pass judgment personally. Could Killzone 2 be just another average game with good graphics and engine? I dunno, I haven't played the game, and I'm not claiming it as such. But when you look at a game like Halo 3 or GTA4, the general consensus of gamers is that they really didn't deserve the praise they got.
