Makes sense for him to go with Sony as its familiar territory, his no doubt got a very good deal out of it, that'll take a lot of pressure off and give him time to focus on creating his next game. It's common sense and good business, I'm an Xbox gamer primarily and I can see the sense in it.
You're completely wrong, it has everything to do with quality. What good is a load of content if its not at at high standard. I'm not saying everyone will see the value in Rainbow 6, but plenty of people will, if I get say a 1000 hours out of a game and I've enjoyed it a lot is that not fantastic value?. I've played Street Fighter IV for thousands of hours and still love it, that's a bargain IMO.
Remember Rainbow 6 has 10 maps and all future dlc is free, t...
@TLG, I guess you know nothing about balancing a game and how long that takes in a game like Rainbow 6, there's a lot of work gone into Rainbow 6 and your know that if you understood that balancing a multiplayer game is very time consuming. Just Cause 3 looks like utter garbage to me and I've seen nothing but bad articles saying how bad the performance is, that's hardly value in my eyes.
Its like 2d fighters, they might look simple to some people and not have muc...
Have you even played it?
So should all the single player games that are no more than 10-20 hours long be half price as well?. I remember all the single player only crowd jumping to buy The Order even after they'd been told it was like 4 hours long, I guess everybody has a different perception of value.
I've already got a lot more value out of Rainbow 6 than most other single player games, its worth every penny if that's the sort of game you're into. If the quality is there I don't see the problem and its down to the individual on what they regard as value for money. Some people need to really give it a rest on this whole subject, multiplayer is a lot different to single player and people know what they want. Rainbow 6 is the best game I've purchased this year by far, mor...
He got bodied at Capcom Cup, too many big hitters there for him.
I've been on the full game since 12 GMT, its worked flawless for me and my mates. It seems like they've sorted all the beta issues out and got it running perfect.
They just focused on making a really balanced and well thought out multiplayer, its not easy to design a game like this and I don't think a lot of people understand the work that goes into making this type of game. It's not going to appeal to everyone, but that's like most games, this is going for the more hardcore crowd and it'll have a decent following because right now there's nothing like it or as good as it in the same genre.
I've been playing since 12 GMT on Xbox One and I've had zero disconnects or any lag. The game is brilliant and a breath of fresh air if you ask me, actually has some very fresh gameplay compared to many other multiplayer games. I don't get the whining over no campaign, this will entertain people that appreciate decent gameplay for hundreds if not thousands of hours. The tactics and teamwork is amazing, really gets people actually communicating and thinking. Best multiplayer game i...
There are still way more demanding games on Xbox regardless of resolution, Chivalry is far from a demanding game and it should be 60fps on Xbox no matter what. It's quite obvious that this is a shoddy port on Xbox when you compare it with other games, I won't be buying it and that's that really so they'll be losing money for thinking they can pass off rubbish to people.
The PS4 would struggle to hit 60 fps on games like Tomb Raider, Uncharted has had to cut back on the framerate so that's kind of proven, plus plenty of other exclusives like Bloodbourne, The Order and Drive club cannot hit anywhere near 60fps. This game is just a crappy port on Xbox, trust a bunch of fanboys to not be able to see that.
There's no reason that it's 30fps on Xbox other than laziness, I was going to buy it but I'm definitely not now. They've obviously put zero effort in on Xbox. There's games on Xbox that are far more demanding and they run at 60fps.
You're right with the syncing of the pad, makes it pretty much useless on PS4. Cronus Max works fine on Xbox One though.
Well where do you think Street Fighter was born, wasn't PlayStation or PC that's for sure. Just seems a lot of people are quick to complain about the Tomb Raider deal, but are then like oh its OK that SFV is full console exclusive. To be honest I'd have bought a PS4 for SFV, but I'll get a much better deal buying a PC tower as I can still use my original TE stick and use that extra cash on not having to buy a new stick, not going to spend £200 on a stick with the same San...
You're not getting what I'm saying, a Cronus Max allows you to use last gen arcade sticks on current gen, you can use Xbox One pad on PS4 etc, its basically a device that allows you to use whatever controller you like and it shouldn't be blocked. It's has nothing to do with preference either its about having the option, on my Xbox One I can plug in my Cronus Max and use my 360 arcade stick, it'd be nice if Sony didn't make the Cronus Max cut out every five minutes, it ...
Well people will still get to play it on PS4 in the end, its not as bad as Street Fighter being exclusive permanently. I'll be getting a PC for SFV, Sony won't even let a Cronus Max be used on the console so people can use any arcade stick they like, definitely not for the players if you ask me.
I'm playing on legendary myself and get what you're saying with them being tough, but it still don't change the fact that it's a bit of a boring enemy type for me. The AI is very good in the game and the campaign has its moments, I'm actually enjoying the campaign but it could have had a little more variation and done some things better IMO.
I'm a massive fan of Halo and I think overall 343 have done a great job, game is super fluid and has a great fee...
The campaign isn't the greatest, but its pretty fun co-op. The Promethean enemies are pretty boring and its kind of what let the campaign down for me, definitely some missed opportunities as well. Overall though it's decent enough and the fantastic multiplayer is more than enough reason to buy the game IMO.
I was saying the exact same thing to my mate the other day, Sony are investing heavily and no doubt it will affect what could have been made instead. The way its being hyped up kind of puts them in a situation where they'll have to produce the goods or face the backlash, I'm not really buying into it myself and think it's still some years off from being decent. I'll keep an open mind, but there's just to many technical and health related issues to overcome.
