I'm a PlayStation fan, but Halo is most definetly the best FPS I have ever played.
Half Life 2 is amazing, Doom 3 is great. Hell, I still love Duke Nukem 3D.
But Halo is very very fun. The controls are perfect, the vehicles are awesome, the weapons look great. The enemies are cool (although I think it's lame they speak English in Halo 2.)
It's the one and only reason I would buy a 360. And it's a damn good reason.

In Canada, where I live, our dollar is now worth about 94 American cents. Yet, we still pay more for all of our products imported from America. The PS3, for example, costs a whole $100 more. Sony is of course Japanese, but SCEA covers all of North America.
It's the companies, they are ripping us off simply because they can. And the ignorance of the general public allows it to take place. In Canada, we are one of the world's largest producers and exporters of oil.

I have a PSP, but not a PS3. When I first heard the PS3 would have the same interface as PSP, I was thrilled. That's the best way of maintaining and accessing data on a console I've ever seen.
Everything's just right there, with all your options easily accessible.

I own a PS2, and never bothered with an X Box, because Halo is pretty much the only game worth playing on there that you can't play on PC or PS2 (yes, Halo is now on PC. It's better on XBox.)
So it didn't seem worth my money.
The 360 is about the same in my books, compared to how the PS3 looks.
