Those games you listed dont' mean much at all. 2 of them are coming to PS3 as well, so they're a moot point. As for PGR4, it's a silly arcade racer which holds nothing to GT5, a PS3 exclusive. Mass Effect might do well, if anybody buys it, since everbody just buys shooters. ASSassins Creed looks overhyped and not impressive, just like Halo 3, as will Halo 4, and Halo 5: the omg, it's another Halo edition. All of these games don't take into account your xbox RROD'ing.

Added dev time is always a plus, but if you watched the video, he states that things like uncompressed 7.1 surround sound were ONLY ACHIEVABLE on the PS3 -the 360 can't produce high-quality surround sound like that. Get used to it, within a year, the 360 will be getting the ports and all the best editions of games will be coming out on PS3.

If you bought a $300-$400 TV and it kept dying and you had to send it back 1 or 2 or 3 times, wouldn't you be pissed at the company who made the TV and want to buy another brand in the future? If Sony did do that, they'd take it in the arse for a while losing money, but think of all the consoles they'd sell -and make up for in the long run by demolishing M$ with a cheaper, 100% more reliable console. Plus, a low price like that would all but seal the deal for Blu-Ray and would be the H-bomb on HD-DVD.
If this is in fact true, than M$ has nullified the used console market -which console makers make no money on anyway -this could be their way of controlling that.
Next will be some way to curtail the used game market -which may be why M$ is so intent on the future being downloadable content -then no matter what, they get their money, and nobody makes money on the resale...

You have no freaking clue do you?? The iPod was introduced into an already crowded market of basic mp3 players. Apple made a better, more realized product and the rest was history. Same with the iPhone -it's getting released into a crowded market, but puts together all those things in an easier to use, way more refined package.

Let M$ pay for the 4th, 5th and 6th sequels until they're driven into the ground. Meanwhile, Sony can work with the devs to make fresh and new franchises, that M$ will eventually pay $$$ for to get on the Xbox720 -even though they'll be the 3rd and 4th sequels. And by then, they'll be on "Halo 9: The Geriatric Wars", and "Gears of War 7: We're still fighting?"
And on and on it'll go...
