There's no war between Steam Deck and Switch from the moment that you can play switch games in Steam Deck. It can probably run even ps3 games too using rpcs3, it's a monster in terms of performance, almost double of the gpd win 3, another portable pc that can run just fine the yuzu switch emulator and rpcs3, if you don't believe it just search for vids in YouTube.
Theres a proper switch emulator, it's called Yuzu and it works great, it recently received the Hades update that makes a ton of games be fully compatible and at great playable speeds, it's quite possible it works just fine on steam deck.
There's a way around it: emulators, and steam deck can run them all, including yuzu, the switch emulator.
You can literally play almost every single Nintendo game since nes with emulators on steam deck, even switch games will probably be playable thanks to Yuzu emulator (it works just fine in another portable pc like gpd win 3 for example), so actually for a Nintendo fan steam deck is fantastic.
It's going to be fun to see Nintendo fans watching Steam Deck owners playing Metroid Dread on Yuzu at higher res / refresh rate than Nintendo Switch this December.
There's a $400 version with the same specs, only slower drive.
The difference is that Vita had sub par games for the most part, while Steam Deck has thousands of AAA games available from day one, many of which people already have on their steam accounts.
What? It's been out for pre-order for a few days and they are giving Q3 2022 date already in the States, that's anemic?
The guy that wrote this doesn't know what he's talking about, 64gb model has 500mb/s speed drive, that's about 5 times faster than 5400rpm HDD that ps4 on other consoles and PCs have used for gaming for ages, it's up there in speed with early SSDs, who hires writers for GameSpot must be desperate.
Well i actually liked this, other than im so used to movie starlord that he felt weird. Graphics were pretty good, dialogue choices are a nice addition, combat has many choices using team abilities so it could actually become strategic and deep on hard difficuty, setting was good, some funny dialogues, and for once no stupid coop forced into the game for the sake of it, one of the best nee games announced on e3 for me.
hmmmm what? There are amazing games released every week with great sales, better headsets than ever with Quest 2, Index or Vive Pro 2, and PSVR2 incoming that will be mindblowing, what is he talking about?
Half Life Alyx on PSVR2 = printing money.
Well you can actually play it already using Vorpx and Quest 2 or some other PC headset : https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Like we didn't all know that EGS only survived like a yunkie addicted to Fortnite money. Taking only 15% of the sales while giving tons of free games and paying millions for timed exclusives, it sure didn't look like a sustainable business, and it's only going to get worse when Fortnite starts slowing down more and more.
I think PSVR 2 is going to start the age of PSVR remasters. We have seen quite a few that worked well already, like Resident Evil 7, The Blair Witch, Skyrim VR, Fallout 4, Hitman 3, Doom 3 VR, etc.
Since Quest 2 huge success (it has already sold more in 6 months that all Oculus headsets released before combined), and PSVR good performance, together with the heavily rumored coming of Apple to VR in 2022, I think VR is going to get a pretty huge push in 2022, and that will mo...
If Sony can make PS5 come with Half Life Alyx on day one, it's going to sell like hot cakes, please Valve make it happen.
100% sure there will be a mod on pc to restore those scenes, just like it happened in sfv, ill wait to play it until then, stop censorship.
gpd win 3 looks the best thing like the switch coming tbh, and that sure is real, search in youtube playing rdr2, marvel avengers, sekiro etc and it even runs the nintendo switch emulator pretty well https://www.youtube.com/wat... can't get closer to switch than that.
I'd add Solasta: Crown of the Magister for any fans of Baldur's Gate or Divinity Original Sin. It's on EA but already has 2.000+ votes and 93% positive reviews, that game is going to be crazy for fans of isometric CRPGs. And of course Baldur's Gate 3 should be on that list too
.
This is exactly how it should be, let everyone choose whatever gender you want, not forcing sex choice to be either male or female. Ubisoft is actually doing this pretty well, the recent ACs, WD Legion you can play as anyone you like, same with Fenyx and now this, good job Ubi.
