There are not many games that are that big, i can only think of 2 of the top of my head (God of war 3 and MGS4). There might be more don't know nor care.
Point is if Internet providers were not greedy dicks and instead of taking all those government grants and put it into tech. that would AT LEAST get us caught up to places like South korea where downloading your 100gb-250gb can be done for $20 a month with NO bs download limits and in 5 min no less.

5TB is great and I always like reading about new technologies that expand capacities to new heights but no matter how much information something can hold it's meaningless if you can't access it fast...and i mean fast.

I really hope next gen we see Flash cards used as the medium of choice and not Optical. While i do have a large HDD in my PS3 now, i'd rather i fill it up with games and not install data for games.
With flash, info could be accessed on the fly and installs wouldn't be necessary. Leave some extra space on the card and put and DLC and expansion paks right on the card with it. That would be so sweet.
I don't think the PS controller needs to be redesigned per se but to just continue to evolve.
I don't care for the handles of the DS3, they feel too stubby to me. I liked the longer/angled out handles like back on the PSone.
I guess interchangeble battery packs would be nice too and 6 face buttons.

You old geezers can still go to the store and get your games there and the speed of a solid state medium would negate (or at the very least reduce to next to nothing) loading times. The added bonus would also be no need for hdd installs since all the data is near instant accessible.
Perhaps it would be possible to leave some space on the card for expansion paks/d...
To the idiots saying the PSPgo failed because of DD get a clue. The PSPgo didn't do great is because it's the 4TH freakin iteration of the system. even if that thing had a UMD drive it still wouldn't have sold great. WE ALREADY HAVE PSP's (those that want one anyway and if you don't then get one :).
DD is the future, it's just not the IMMEDIATE future. Fibre to the home is only just starting in my country (canada) and it will be a few years before all homes have decent bandwidth ...

But in Regarding to the no camera issue I too wondered why no camera but then i thought do i really want to run around with this thing taking pictures? I suppose having one on the front one could get by but I just cannot fathom why anyone would think no camera on the Touch screen side would be a bad thing.

I disagree. While i do have a sizeable library that i have built over the years and i do not regret buying any of them. I do however find having all these "trinkets" rather cumbersome and a pain to maintain. Its almost like a business having to deal with the cost of inventory.
I'd like to see the shelf that can house all those consoles, heck just a 1/4 of them i'd like to see. Unless you are incredibly well off i just can't imagine anyone having the space and resources ...
Why would sony make another format? Why not just stick with a couple rather then spread yourself thin?
Personally I think Sony should just use there next gen MSXC cards. having lots of capacity is nice but if you don't have fast access to it then who cares. Optical media just can't meet the needs of gaming. Sure it's got capacity but no speed. Time to move on from a what is it now 20 year old tech?
Totally agree. The speeds available to the average home in countries like Korea are absolutely amazing. They can download 50GB is just min.
I'am all for DD but there is just too much against it. Just look at the responses in the gamer zone. Utter retards. They just can't see the potential. Only see whats in front of them today. I have cable and my internet connection never goes out, unless there is a power outage but even then my modem does have battery back up since i also have my phone service through it too. But if the power is out i'm not going to be playing regardless so the point of no connection is moot. I'd like to meed the people who can play games without electricity hehe.

Compare any Mac to it's WInPC equivalent and you will find barely no difference in price and certainly not for 1/3 the cost. Not too mention You get a far more advanced OS with a mac anyway.

I think it's safe to say that ANY system with moving parts is destined to fail at some point. Some just do it faster then others given various factors (Manufacturing, Human factor etc).
So here's to hoping next gen we see solid state storage mediums (SSD's, SDXC, MSDXC etc) take a foot hold, prices are coming down so by then it should be feasible.

I can't agree with anything this guy is saying except maybe for the graphics dept.
Sure PC's can produce some impressive visuals, but lets remember consoles are limited to TV screens which last i checked only go 1080p. So even if you get a game on both console and pc both having the same level of graphics the PC monitor is going to show it better anyway.
