I believe this is a regular price cut and Microsoft is trying to save face saying that it's temporary. They don't want the perception that they are desperate with two price cuts in a year. I don't see the price going back up after "the sale"
There's two possible outcomes and they both lead to them keeping the 350$ price tag.
1:If they get outsold by the ps4 they won't have a reason to bring up the price since nobody will start b...

I never understood this "Microsoft hard-core" the Xbox only had one good generation and it wasn't that impressive sales wise compared to the top consoles of all time. Not sure how gamers could just blindly follow Microsoft because they had one decent round of console cycle?

Right now, when you buy a Sony Xperia Z3 on Rogers, you get NHL center ice for a year and a PS4 copy of NHL 15. That's a pretty sweet deal (if I didn't already have the game)

Technically he was also part of the initial disaster... He can spin it anyway he wants, he was part of it. He's done a good job recently, but he's basically following sony Gameplan. Pretty easy job when the plan is already laid out for you.

Yes and no. I believe this is a full time price cut for the Xbox one and are using scare tactics to get people to buy it now rather then later. They might not throw in a game after January 3rd but I can't see the Xbox one go back up in price regardless of how much they sell.
I do believe Sony could afford to throw in value on top of the 400$ box (free year of p+, a free game and maybe even a bigger hard-drive) only time will tell, but I wouldn't sit quietly while Mic...

If Sony keeps the PS4 at 400$ and continue to outsell the Xbox 1 at 350$,Microsoft won't have a choice to keep it at 350$.If they can't outsale the ps4 with a 50$ price advantage, bringing it back to 400$ won't help it out either. I believe it's a tactic used by infomercial "call in the next 2 hours and save an extra 50$"

I got a ps4 on day one and purchased a Wii U a month ago. The Wii U is a good system for me to play with my kids and the ps4 is for my man cave (I do play playroom with the kids do)
I'm not in the market for the Xbox one. Like I said, when it hits below 300$ and it has a handful of games I want to play, I'll buy one. (most likely in a thew years)
COD looks not bad this year. Might be the first COD game I play since the ps2 (yes, I've never touched a COD all of last generation)
