God I sure hope not, the E3s of old were getting out of hand. Like the Spike VGA's, it was becoming less about the games and more of a Hollywood crapfest spectacle, GDC will probably remain superior to me for the forseeable future.
Hell at that price I'd buy one with a quickness.
If it were like 50 bucks cheaper that'd make a nice kb/m combo for the PS3, but uh I don't trust Infinium any more than 3DO.
LMAO like a jilted lover. ..
Ugh who uses WMP to stream to a PS3 anyway? It's TVersity or transfer directly to the hard drive.
I blame the video game blamers. Really though I blame the parents.
I'll believe it when I see it, MS might just co-publish the thing and prevent that from ever happening.
Hah I just reread the postmortem of the game again, fortunately David Cage agrees with us. So Heavy Rain shouldn't suffer any of the things we disliked in Fahrenheit.
Snippet from "What Went Wrong":
"I made the mistake of not devoting enough time to the last hour of the game. I was convinced (and rightly so) that the first hour of the game would be decisive for hooking the player, but I naively thought that one hour from the end the player's opini...
It's cool that it works for the system but it looks REALLY cumbersome and uncomfortable, so I'll stick with my logitech stuff.
From Quantic Dream's track record it's going to be mostly an adventure game with a little action thrown in. Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy featured a pretty awesome control scheme that solely used the analog sticks, I hope they evolved it for this game.
That's where the credibility shot out the window for me. The PS3's buttons are mapped to media controls and I know them like the back of my hand. So unless they were being dumb and pressing triangle to bring up the menu for controls and using them then I have no idea wtf they're talking about.
Hah yeah you could tell from the last 3rd of the game they got rushed or a management switch occurred or something. I literally shouted "what THE F---!?" when I got to that point in the game. I'd be more specific but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, those who've played it know what we're talking about though.
That footage you saw was actually all realtime, albeit very much so scripted but realtime nontheless.
I thought the car manufacturers were the reason that car damage wasn't in since GT started, guess I was right.
The points you brought up about implementation and features are precisely why it hasn't launched yet. I'm glad it was pushed because what I hear from beta users, things are far from being what they should be and for Sony to release it now would do far more harm than good. Here's hoping that the release is as smooth as possible and the core functionality of at LEAST the trailers launches with the program.
If this game is half as good as Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy we have a supreme winner. If it's better (which I believe it will be) then well then there's something special in store for us all. My only worry with this news is that they'll get someone that does a performance like Kristen Bell in Assassin's Creed. Her voice work sounded like she was vigourously reading a script, and the character model looked wildly out of place with everyone else. The face was just generically texture mapped with...
Here comes the fanboys, sound the feasting horn!!

On a side and on topic note, I have gspot on my pc and found that only the old stuff won't play, which is stated. I hope they add compatibility for that soon because then it'd be perfect.
I threw some Ergo Proxy eps on an SD card and the system booted them right up. And yeah all the previous video functions work like resizing, grouping, renaming etc. Making folders and keeping them organized is so sweet, now if only they would all play sequentially (last time I says it). ..
Man only three more things needed now, divx web browser update, sequential video playback, and subtitle .srt file support. After that it's all over, pretty sure the first two will be worked on and implemented soon. That third one is the wildcard though, but the divx/xvid playback is soooooo dope.
With this update I'm starting to see a glimpse of good things to come, considering how quick it was for me to transfer files over to my HD without transcoding anything. I've used TVer...
Hah that's essentially a set top box for GameTap, but they dashed that idea. Rightfully so because I don't think it would have taken off.
