All sony has to do is give new details on already announced new games and show some gameplay and they'll crush it. But if they announce another AAA ip it'll just be embarrassing for both Microsoft and Nintendo.
The hell it doesn't. Wiis success was an insane blessing to Nintendo but gamers won't be fooled twice. Zelda was a good start but they better not flood the console with gimmicks or it will have the same fate as the wii u.
Mobile gaming will never hold enough weight in the market as a whole for this to be a concern. Your average gamer, myself included view playing on the go as tedious and annoying.
If those 'games for it' are new games, as in new exciting franchises then I agree. But if it's Halo 6, Gears 5, or Forza 7, or moneyhatted timed exclusives then it will be flat as hell.

The implication that sony needs xbox or Nintendo to do well to stay motivated is retarded. If they start making a bad product regardless of the competition people won't buy it. They keep making their playstation division better because they want to keep making money, it's not rocket science.
