It's neither incredible or a comeback, it's same old Nintendo with a different gimmick. Same redundant games, I don't care how high they score it's still mario and zelda over and over.
All they need to do is loosen the grip on the consumer freedom of digital games and I'm 100 percent ok with this. I'm exclusively digital this gen and love it, but one thing that absolutely has to happen is being able to play those games offline. It's very rarely an issue but definitely a little discomforting.

That proves absolutely nothing. Vinyl has always been a 'collectors item' for music enthusiasts, especially classic music like Bowie mentioned in the article you listed. But the majority of consumers do not buy records. Cds, dvds, blu rays, and yes wether or not you like it GAMES will all be digital very soon. Only reason it hasn't happened yet is anti consumer crap like drm.
Can't argue that. While being different types of games and as amazing as uncharted is its still not on the level of TLOU. With gameplay, character development, storytelling, TLOU can't be touched.

All they need to do is cut the drm bull**** and digital will definitely take over. If you can install games on your hard drive and play them offline physical games are done. Swapping discs is annoying as hell and I for one will be damn stoked when this day comes.

Unless halo/gears is your jam or are such a tech junkie that minor 'superior' specs draw to you then the pro is the only choice. Cheaper, more games, more tech(VR)
