Great console, lots of good memories.
35 years old here, gladly admit playstation revolutionized gaming in ways that that Nintendo still cannot even come close to. Respect for Nintendo being there first but that's about it.
Never played this one, is it just resident evil with dinos?
The only reason I don't finish a game is if I don't like it and lose interest. But not finishing a game is like not finishing a movie, all those hours of investment and no reward? Or the irreplaceable satisfaction of seeing those credits pop? No way
Ever since that idiot Gabe Newells initial comments against ps3 I've never given two shits about Valve. Not that they've put out anything to tempt retracting this opinion anyway. Portal 2 was a bargain bin purchase at best.
How could making fun of internet trolls possibly ever bite you in the ass? They'll troll you next time?
As long as there is a compelling story I'm buying it, could not say that much about the first RDR
Never even heard of this 'controversy' but dear lord if this is really a thing that is the worst straw grasping attempt to undermine yet another certain home run from sony.
What the hell did you just say? I could not make sense of any of your gibberish. Cross play eliminates the purchase incentive of sonys console and the 'might as well buy what platform my friends have' mentality. Not to mention the scenarios where cross play even remotely effects online gaming at all is so rare and insignificant that the only ones that matter are people trying to string into sonys market share. Cross play is not 'the future' it is ultimately and insignificant f...
Sony isn't good for online games and yet so many people are throwing a fit about crossplay, hmm wonder why that is?
Evolution getting the axe is still the biggest tragedy this gen. God I would have loved to see another motorstorm.
^^THIS, dear lord battlefield 1 was nearly unplayable with minimal guns and the enemy ammo drops were useless with 2-3 bullets per body. If they fixed that garbage on this one I'll gladly support it I couldn't care less about all these whining idiots blabbering about 'historical accuracy'
'Gimmicks have very low value, high attention and are over quickly'
While I agree that on paper this should be true Nintendo has proven gimmicks can most definitely be effective.
Oh please, Mr entrepreneur I invite you to enlighten me how 'it makes business sense' to release a new console amidst a forecast of FIVE major developers releasing exclusives on sonys current console. The announcement of a ps5 release date alone will kill the attention that these games would have the potential of getting.
I never said ps4 would stop selling but the mere existence of a ps5 makes the console dated. They haven't even done a real price cut yet and ...
As others have said this is just how they do business. No passion in their product they simply take what other companies have done and make they're own tweaks to the product and release they're own version. Which thus far the half assed nature of these attempts has been very obvious and it no doubt would have been for vr as well.
If ps5 comes out in even the vicinity of a year then ghost/death stranding/TLOU 2 will most likely be launch titles. I don't see it happening that soon, sony no doubt has a mockup prototype ready to respond to a Microsoft announcement but for them to close a gen prematurely that they have full control of would be foolish.
Not deservedly so, but unfortunately you're probably right with the way the whole gaming industry circle jerks over anything with a rockstar label on it
They'll no doubt push the boundaries once again. New games, more advanced ones, more diversity, an overall unmatchable product. And please for the love of God if there's room in the production budget go back to the media support and user interface that the ps3 had, my one and only complaint about ps4.
As someone old enough to remember dragon warrior back in the nes days and never played another one after that and currently catching up on the final fantasy series (only played 7, 13, and 15 and currently going through 9) is this series worthy of going through all of them as well? I'm not a huge rpg guy but love a good story in any form.
Tomb raider, like Nintendo, was around first but ultimately fell short and was outdone. Now they're over thinking with these silly rpg elements and storytelling that is clearly inspired by uncharted now. The series is bouncing all over the place and has no solid identity now. I'll eventually give it a shot but this release date is suicide for them with the games that are about to come out alongside it.
