If ms really wanted to be competitive they would have launched the xb1x at 399... Its the only way they could even stand a chance at sonys base ps4...
When the slim came the day 1 xb1 sales fell off a deep dark cliff to nowhere... The xb1 slim is already all but dead no matter how many pricecuts or themed consoles they do. I def see the X replacing the slim while sonys 249-299 console outsells both combined... Nevermind whatever #'s the pro sprinkles on top of that
When a console is failing to meet expectations (xb1s) as its rivals (ps4 slim/ps4 pro/ and now the nintendo switch) people and ms start taking a hard look at what it would take to make the xb1x do much better than the failing xb1s.
Ive said all along ms needed to write this gen up as a wash, and start a new gen with the xb like nintendo did. All the xb1x will do is be a flash in the pan for 3-6 months and then sales will nosedive just like with the xb1s. Just being a beffi...
Remember how the xb1s sold like hotcakes for the first 4-6 months and the og was completely forgotten about? Thats how i see the xb1x performing and how obsolete (more obsolete) the xb1s will be... Except the xb1x sales will fall off a cliff after the 1st 3 months. If this happens, ill bet we could see a xb1x priced at 399 with free games come fall 2018.
Exactly, i think the sales of the xb1x will be similar to that of the xb1 slim... It will do great for the first 6 months and then fall of a cliff. Could be worse being priced higher with no real exclusive system sellers at launch. Ill wait a year for a pricedrop or 2 with packed in games.
Halo 6 could be better than ever and get straight 10s across the board and ppl could still care less... Noone even wants an xb1. Destiny is where all the halo fans went.

Many nintendo fans consider the switch a 9th gen console... If so id agree with the author as its the only system thats out for 9th gen. Soo now we are comparing a 9th gen console to 8th gen ones... Except how about giving things gamers want... Most ppl dont buy a 250-500$ console to play last gen games. While a nice feature, it could never replace new i.p.s and fresh brand new experiences that can only be found on xbox1
That was nice of you but i didnt stand in line for 3 hours just to sell it at cost. Ive already sold 2 for 180 a piece which is much lower than others

Yeah dude... There are plenty of og atari games that could have a 2017 update to them. Not just updated graphics but also completely redone, new mechanics, ect. Asteroids, missle command, pitfall, centipieds, voyager, frogger, mousetrap, qbert, pacman series, marble madness...

Exactly, how does nintendo or the devs expect a game from 2011 with a new game sticker price, to be a success and thrive on the switch. Yeah im sure some people will buy this but most already have or will be so turned off by the price they would skip it all together. I personally would wait a few months... If this, doom, or wolfenstein dont sell well they will all see slashed prices... Unlike ninty 1st partys.

Halo 5 cant even be compared to destiny with shit single player, shit story, boring pacing, lies in their marketing campaign, and decling sales recently to laughable levels... Its almost like they thought the game would perform well no matter what they did.
We will see how "relevant" halo is if ms dont reinvigorate this dying franchise... And with their track rec...

The majority of xb users used to thrive on halo and gears of war but now they thrive elsewhere when you look at the declining sales since halo 1, 2 and 3 and gears 1 and 2...
