Well xb1s was a bit cheaper and only sold well for 4-6 months and then sales tanked... I dont see the xb1x even matching the sales of the xb1s and most likely sales will tank after 6 months or sooner as well.
The majority of gamers dont really care for xbox after last gen and most of this one... Ms if their biggest enemy.
Plus all the xb1x is really going to do is tank xb1s sales even harder... Ms needed to start fresh with fresh games... Not just a hig...
Id rather tune in 6 months later to see if the hype was real orr see that it died 3 months prior. Then tune in again 6 months later when its holiday 2018 and the x is 399, just to find out "limited edition" scorpio consoles are still available...

Its quite ridiculous how many times the xb1 has changed its identity and ui this gen... No wonder consumers faith in the box have hit an all time low this year while nintendo and sony are knocking it out of the park.

It doesnt really matter who did what first but, if the xb1x was further along like you think it wouldnt have released a whole year later... Simple facts...
Id rather they started a new gen than release a "mid gen refresh" almost 5 years into this one... Doesnt that seem a tad late to the party?? While ms is trying to establish its own footing with the xb1x sony will be fast at work slashing prices on the base ps4/pro, shrinking the pro, and announcing the ps5
The xb1x is a mid gen console refresh... And a mighty fine 1 at that. But i disagree that its going against the grain, that genre belongs to nintendo. Its like sony announced their pro and then it forced ms's hand and they announced/released the x 1.5 years later... Where as I feel that if sony never made/announced the pro... We may have got an xbx (next gen) instead of a xb1x (current gen).

This title is going to be amazing! Not only that it will sell buttloads to the eagerly awaiting gt fans... And most likely rate higher... Much higher than f7 and pc2.
Youre absolutely right about the loot boxes BUT the dlc that launched for botw could have EASILLY launched with the game... This will be a trend moving forward when all loz games before now launched with the full game day 1...
Nintendo probably made back what it cost to make the game 10 fold but that wasnt enough. So yeah they nickel and dime there consumers as well... Just saying 😉

Ive been playing/have played every mario/zelda game since 1985 except for botw and mario odyssey (of course).
Those games come every gen and to buy the switch just to play a few exclusives (that pertain to me) doesnt justify a purchase... Quite yet.
Some of my friends that are die hard zelda fans... Even my gf has a majora mask dress... Lol.... So shes def hardcore and has a switch and the game and a bunch of others have ...
Still waiting for a must have exclusive that isnt mario zelda ect... Xenoblade chronicles 2 looks amazing!
The pro and ps4 slim will both see a pricecut before nov 7th... If so ms will mainly be selling the 1x while playstation will be selling both
