Am i the only one that thinks if a next gen console (9th gen) from nintendo is only as strong as a console that came out 3 years ago they are already messing up? How hard would it be with the passing time to be a tad bit stronger and still be on the same pricetag. I mean i believe they could appease even the 3rd parties with having the best smoothest running experience. Console owners are always boasting that they want the best running version, why cant nintendo have that??

This game is going to mark their best effort yet and they deserve whatever credit that comes their way. I cant wait to play this masterpiece, as i know many others as well. Nice reply, im 35 and my first gaming love started with the atari 2600 then it was nintendo from the nes to gamecube losing my interest with the wii, im not wanting a ps5 sooner than later, i actually believe ms will be the 2nd one to jump on gen 9 forcing sonys hand. If any of the remaining 2 were to jump 2nd if i was a betting man id def say ms. Im also very happy with my launch ps4 as well and agree they havent even begun to hit their stride but that changes with the launch of uncharted 4....
I agree with your assessment. Im thinking the nintendo brand itself will have a harder time winning back gamers then the xb1 did at launch. They need to seriously come out guns blazing with the nx. I disagree, most are saying this gen will be shorter than the last and go back to traditional 5-6 year lifecycles. If thats true, the ps5 could be announced as early as holiday 2018 with a release of holiday 2019, and ms is most likely planning a new gen sooner than later. 4 years from now would be 2020 being almost 7 years... Theres no way. They already skimped out on consoles this gen and in the next few years games will really start looking dated.
At first i agreed if they release a console as powerful as a xb1/ps4 by holiday 2016 they would be in good shape. Resident evil 4 is my fav in the last 15 years. I actually would go as far to say code veronica was my fav till i played four and the remake of the 1st ranks pretty high up there as well.
You cant have better software sales without hardware sales, and the higher the hardware sales the more potential software sales you will have.
On topic: the sales of the ps4 are already on the decline when compared to last years sales but as all of you know the 2nd and 3rd year is when consoles usually start hitting their strides with slim models, more pricedrops, and must have titles. Thats when sales will spike again, nothing new to debate here.

I agree the pricepoint is high but maybe for ps4 owners they get a price cut because theyve already invested $300+ into their ps4. I can see them launching 2 pricepoints. 1 at $400 for already owners of ps4 and 599 for ppl that need all the extra stuff. Which in theory will make the purchase of a ps4 more enticing to gamers still on the fence. Which im sure is the goal for reeling in new customers. Or maybe a bundle for 500-600.
Heres the thing, this tech isnt cheap. In no way shape or form do i see them announcing a price less than 500 usd. Unless they are willing to take a loss. I could however see them launching a tad bit lower then their competition.

No way. I remember some third party games running super choppy on the ps3. The sound was crap, fps was crap, the resolution was crap, hell even the load times were longer. Until about the 3rd year. This gen so what the xb1 gets 720-900p games... Everything else seems to be exactly the same across the board.
The thing is, if its going to be released 3 years after gen 8 (holiday 2016) why cant they be slightly more powerful? This is effectively a 9th gen next gen nintendo console thats as strong as an xb1? The gaming community as a whole will not take the nx seriously just like they didnt with the wiiu.
