I wasn't impressed by Sony's showings. I think home is a cool feature, Killzone is looking great, but just not that special imo, and nowhere near the 2005 trailer. Still didn't see someone actually play the game on stage.
Mgs actually looked kinda lame with the whole fight, it looked allright graphicswise, still have to see the game looks like that, no real gameplay footage was shown.
Haze and Drakes fortune do nothing to me at all. Socom looked like socom2. Heavenly sword and L...

So, as long as you buy the games, MS doesn't care much if you buy for PC or 360.
Thanks for the info, I already had those Matrix trailers and they were looking really good indeed. I think the quality also has to do with compression techniques for the downloads.

But I wasn't blown away by it. If the gameplay is tight and good multiplayer(unlike killzone1) I might buy a ps3 in March. Still, I think it doesn't really resemble the 2005 trailer.
How good of a hd quality are the hd movie downloads? Are they better quality than most hd movie trailers on the marketplace? Those tend to be a bit grainy.
How does it compare to hd-dvd or bluray? Can anyone tell me?

I have a big ass plasma that's been dying for some other hd-content than trailers and games.

Did you see the link I put up? In that video it shows it can scratch discs on its own. Even if you would disturb it by accident, it shouldn't be scratching the disc whatsoever. They should've made sure every drive had protective rubber pads.
Also, I'm still on my launch console to, without any problems and Ilove it. I don't know why you bring up that Sony/MS/service story. I wasn't bashing MS or anything, just looking out for the truth.
I don't think that halo3 screen was an ingame screenshot. Isn't that screen taken from the halo3 announcement trailer? If it is, than that comparison of yours is, off course, BS.

He meant it was a bit early to show them. They're supossed to be almost finished with it now.
I already did that myself, and imo, the comparible Gears shot looked better.
Edit: @ #65 says you. You're calling me an idiot? You say it's not fair to compare this game with GOW because GOW is running on the Unreal engine and Killzone isn't. Come on dude, you were the guys saying that Killzone was going to blow Gears away. Now, all of a sudden it's an unfair comparison. Then you say that GOW has better graphics yourself because it runs on the Unreal engine.

It's a proven fact that some batches of 360 were made with a disc-drive that doesn't have protective rubber pads that prevent the laser hitting the surface of the disc and scratching it. I'm am a 360 fan myself but to deny this and call it lies is just plain ignorance and fanboyism on your part.
