Graphics create immersion. The feel of the world you are in. Look at Heavy Rain: the world was feel and you felt apart of that world. I do believe gameplay ultimatel matters, but without a deep, interesting world, why would one want go look at it? Think of a beautiful woman compared to one that is not so attractive. Which one would you want to immerse yourself with first? Even though that one that is not sk attractive may be a lot better in all regards.
If they can provide quality dlc while keeping the price down, I do not see an issue with it. Capcom needs to focus on quality products so people would want to even consider DLC.
I believe 2K can make a college football game now. The question is will they allocate resources to do so. I hope they do for the nextbox and ps4. Plus 2K brings there titles to PC. With the mod community, a PC football game would be a doorway for great content. The things I have seen the community do with NBA 2k13 is astounding.
@Maximaz
No sir, the title draws people in because we are wondering why is it crap. love the "crap" narrative. Lol
The value lies in the reality. A gamer can still play online without paying a fee. With the subscription, you get offers to play betas early, free games and content that covers the value you pit in within three months. So how is that harm? Everyone's thoughts.
Agreed: definitely detecting a minute amount if next box fanboyism with the comment about Forza. We as gamers know that polyphony takes time to craft gran Turismo, leaving the window for other companies to develop new IP's for the system. Sony believes in original ideas and I trust the developers behind motostorm. Without new IP's gamers would become static to purchase said games. This is good for Sony, bridging the gap till the next iteration of Gran Turismo is released. Words from a...
The Playstation 4 has 64 Mb of ram strictly for transferring data from that one gb pool if I am not mistaken. Sort of like the edram with the wiiU. This means that going back to the home screen, launching games, system start up will be a breeze; not to mention that developers have 7gbs of super fast gddr to work with..As a gamer I am quite excited to see the system up and running completely.
Games. We buy consoles for games. Period. Smart tv's, tablets, and phones have access to every media platform such as Netflix. An article yesterday in yahoo stated that more and more people are abandoning tv's; went from 2 million to 5 million in two years. Consoles niche is games. So why get locked into a contract or have so many requirements to use the box while paying a premium price? IMO, logic has to be the driving force of why so many may pass up on the next box.
Microsoft will not comment on comments or speculations. Granted this is damage control but the point is, gamers are not ready for such control. Who wants a product, that they spend hard earned dollars on, to be controlled. Its like here buy our box. Oh wait you cannot play the box you spent money on unless you have internet. Oh wait you have to buy our service. Oh wait your games will not work without both above. While I do have a 360, this is deterring me from buying their box. Maybe they we...
Technological growth is a part of the cycle. Next Gen after PS4 - NextXbox will incorporate true 4k gaming resolutions, but other then that we will just continue to see better textures, shadows, etc. I doubt internet bandwith will be significantly ready for cloud base service. If they do attempt it, internet providers will try to milk us consumers with data caps, outrageous pricing and so on.
Waiting for the ps4 - nextXbox iteration. Forum, correct me if I am wrong, can't 2k make a college football this year? If so, that would be nice to see plus they release their sports games to PC. Here's hoping so
Got to disagree with this above. One cannot compare what you just said.. You say consoles have unlimited battery life. Um..that's because they are plugged up. I plugged up my HTC one X plus to my tv via HDmi with the USB splitter and the phone charges while I play real racing three. 1080p output with awesome graphics to boot on my 47inch. With 8 core phones on the horizon, along with the power of vr and tegra 4, it will very plausible to see ps3 graphical quality on phones. Lets not forge...
Isn't a new console or platform...new tech? Wouldn't Microsoft desire to get developers onboard with new tech? I think announcing specifically before GDC and then showcasing the new consoles ability would plausible sense. I think Microsoft is dropping the ball. Plainly because they have not focused on exclusives while only promoting multimedia and Kinect products and services. With Sony already having the PS4 in place, GDC will provide them with seminars and meetings that will highlig...
The problem with Far Cry 3 is it became a boring repetitive game after u capture 5 safe houses and towers.. With Vass, the story would have been mediocre. I think far cry 3 deserved a 7.5 - 8. The review expressed its points and should be considered. The game has been put on such a pedestal that we tend to give it due diligence without experiencing the entirety. 7.5 is good, but not without flaws. People should still pick it up.
It could..But why would Square do something that smart?
This is good news. I hope this is the realization that the PS4 is quite easy to develop for and game designers can focus more on optimization time.I am with u that killzone 3 story was lacking, however the gameplay was very immersive. Additionally, Killzone IMO was an intense fun multiplayer...this is hoping they take this time make that experience incredible. PS4 = Day
Situations like this...i am happy for jail breaking....an associate of mine showed me how to get unlimited cash and cars in the game. As long as developers try to screw consumers, there will be people playing robin hood against them.

I think the formula for cod is so static; resulting in run shoot kill - run shoot die: with an occasional dive, prone, scorestreak, and camp. I like what DICE is trying to do. They are developing innovations through multiple combat facets that makes the warzone feel like a war zone. While I have played many hours of all cod games, its really time for a change. I hope with all of these studios working together, some form of true innovation transpires...HOPEFULL...
Very good points and more questions are raised in contrast to ones being answered. In the United States 77% of all people are connected to the internet. While this provides a positive figure to promote a product that is always connected, server capability is an issue. Additionally will Microsoft charge consumers like last generation after buying the box? What about Americans and people around the globe who do not have internet access. Only slightly over 30% of the world is connected. Not only...
I can't agree more. Playing recent GT games made me feel as though I was just driving model cars. What this studio did with need 4 speed shift unleashed was amazing. If you slammed into a wall your tires would fall of and you would ride on the brake disc. With GT it was simply a time penalty or small damage. I hope GT focus on what really happens on the race track and not just showcasing cars that we simply just marvel at.
