You have to admit visually and sound wise that came was great. From a PC perspective. That is why I said they need to fix the physics because the cars would slide like they were on ice skates..I agree but it was to say that they can definitely do great things with presentation.

Even though the next gen version has assets that supersede the current gen version, the atmosphere, quality, is not that dumbed down. Maybe the ps3 and Xbox 360 was ahead of its time or these new systems are just not that powerful. I agree totally. You probably can get the same performance out of two gtx760's in sli and it would be cheaper than buying just one 780ti. For me I think its bragging rights that my rig is better than your rig type of deal. I have 2 560ti 448s in sli and I can get bf4 to run in 1080p 60fps. Its just overkill. Until they make games that truly take advantage of that card. But everything has to be scalable to benefit older cards.
I agree. If I go to Mc Donalds and order 2 double cheeseburgers and they put two mc doubles in the bag. Granted its only missing a once piece of cheese, the problem is it is missing and i am paying an entire dollar or two more. It Matters! Plus, if you have a tv over 40 inches, it is a significant difference from 720 to 1080 and its sad that after almost a decade, Microsoft's new and shiny system cannot run 1080.

Gamers always cared about the look of a game. When Mortal Combat and SF2 came out on genesis and super nes which did we choose? The SNES version because it looked almost arcade perfect. Gamers always want the best quality experience. And if we are to spend even more money, we definitely want an upgraded experience.
Want to know something that is funny. Multi platform games ran better on Dreamcast compared to ps2. Games ran better on Xbox over ps2. And Xbox 360 games ran better than ps3. It is a big leap. When I look at multi platform games like ac4 and madden and then see this, I wonder if other companies are not stepping up to the plate like they should. 2k really went in with the graphics for ps4 and x1. I can't wait to see what they do with future projects.

I think people are more knowledgeable in 2013. We Google search everything and eamt to know about the product. If we see that a product is a hundred dollars more and has a weaker grapchis card, uses ddr3 which has been proven to handicap game resolutions and output.
