I think lag really comes down to ping. My ping is bad and Uncharted 2 works the best for me out of all my games.
Server does help a ton, especially for guys with not optimal ping.

But XBL only has cross game chat and invites. Which are in some games already. Who cares, differences are so tiny that users that cry that $5 dollars is worth it are retarded.

You mean Uncharted 2 I assume? The game has to update its online mode, meaning you can basically skip the update and play single player mode just fine.
Again, its for maps, skins. I deleted its data a few days ago, and it was like 12 mins of updating. Really. An hour?

Seriously it won't make you ping more than a ethernet cord. The ethernet is better for more bandwidth, but you don't need THAT much for gaming.
