The whole thing is pointless, even if you build a PC with the same specs, games will not squeeze all the power in it, that's why consoles have games with better graphics after years of using the same HW
It's not just lack of games, PSP outsells Vita every week, IF Vita was fully BC, PSP could have been dead already, as in Vita eating PSP sales, it's because PSP is cheaper and has a huge lineup
And considering that there are more casuals than hardcore gamers = Game Over

Hope you're right, TV as a product can't escape commoditization, it's a business that reached its peak, Sony is letting it go little by little, it's the best thing they can do

PS3 has been selling well since the Slim release, no one can deny that, but when you point out something, you can ditch other things, so PS3 is selling really well and X360 is selling better, nothing wrong with that
