I work in a game store and some games are a big "NO, NO" to take home before the street date even if you work at the store.
And get rid of the always online stuff, and get rid of the forced DRM BS.

Well since it's up to the publishers, it's their fault not Sonys. It's up to us now to dissuade them (the publishers) from having DRM by simply not buying their games if they have some shoddy DRM.
I would guess the engine is fairly scalable then and will hold for quite some time. Most games coming out early probably won't be that big of a leap, well atleast I don't think so judging from past transistions.

I actually though their whole idea was to sort of split the pie with the publishers, but I take this as MS wanting to eat the whole pie themselves which makes this even more unacceptable. Which make my chances of buying an Xbone drop from 0.1% to -99% or something.
You are right, I won't care if microsoft creates HAL9000 and the entire parasitic mass of sheep on the planet will have it in their livingroom throwing money on paid services left and right. I will still talk about games, because you know, I'm a gamer.
The PC and the Console ecosystem is entierly different. It's not really comparable when it comes yo used games.
