So 2/10 equals 65/100 ?
Go to school and come back with a better argument, thanks.
Oh my god that is SO clickbait. The game is probably far from being perfect, but I'm sure it doesn't deserve a 2/10. Just out of respect for the people who worked hard on this, you shouldn't score the game this low. This is just disrespectful.
Not trying to be the Sony fanboy here. I understand the game has its (many) flaws supposedly, but COME ON.
Yeah but you see, Ico and SotC were not hyped at all prior to their release and look at the HUGE impact they had on the gaming industry. All I'm saying is, hype is dangerous even with the pedigree of Team Ico. The made two masterpieces and I hope TLG will be their third one. I just want people not to bash the game because it didn't met their 10 years expecations.
But I'm sure the game will turn out spectacular anyway.
How about they abandon that trademark and come up with something new. At this point, the hype, the expectations, the wait, will KILL the game named The Last Guardian. They should change it. Keep the spirit of the game, but package it differently so that it no longer looks like something dying that they're trying to bring back to life, over and over.
Oh God, the boundary between movies and video games has never been so thin. Which is absolutely exciting !!!!!!
About The Order 1886 :
"Also, when you buy the game, you only get the single player campaign, which rumors indicate will be extremely short"
Pray for the future. Single player is becoming the nemesis of today's "gamers", when it once was the Saint Graal.
I don't read GI but I'm always eagerly anticipating their covers. This one is epic.
The black bars give a powerful cinematic vibe. I remember how it worked so well on the King Kong game by Ubisoft (flawed game but the atmosphere was fantastic).
The Order really does look like a movie. The lighting and particle effects are spectacular.
@Azuske
Do you know how the hype starts ? It starts when a company decides to tease people. You know how the teasing starts ? It starts with basically nothing. So that people speculate, make things up, work their imagination.
Hype is born.
Usually these techniques are used prior to the revelation of a big thing. Something worth the hype.
You don't do that for a free to play 2D platformer game. THAT is trolling.
Yeah. The put Cristals in the "Z". It's like the did want us to believe it was FF related. It's like...they planned to troll us from the very beginning.
Spelunky is a good franchise but right now, they can eat it.
I'm cool with Rising 2...
..But where is Zone of the Enders 3, Kojima ?? T_T
The majority of games that feature a true visual identity these days are Indie-games. Which is why I like indie games. But it is so exciting to have a triple-AAA game display such an epic atmosphere.
Those grim, gothic environments are so inspiring. I just can't wait to play that game.
I agree and disagree. For a Space Opera game like ME, I actually want something super huge and complex.
I love that actress in GoT but somehow I think she wouldn't fit the role. In don't see Ellie in her, at all. But that's just my opinion.
what ??
Anyway, so far the game looks amazing. Can't wait to play it.
@higgins78
What makes you think that if I buy a game full price on Day 1, I don't buy "smaller" games as well ? I never said that. I buy every game that I am interested in, AAA or not. But when there is a big game that I'm highly anticipating and that I know will have limited shipments, then I pre-order cause I like to have those games on Day 1.
I weep for Val Kilmer's sex appeal.
And the future.
Trust me, when you come from a small island like I do, you have to pre-order if you want your games on day 1 lol
"Out of the two hours I did play it's hard to imagine the game having any replay value at all to me, no multiplayer (huge downside for me as this is the main reason I buy games), no coop as far as I know"
How could a guy who thinks multiplayer is the most important aspect of a game enjoy a single player experience anyway ?
@Double Toasted : Well it's sad that we've come to a generation where no multiplayer and no coop is a bad thing. Can...
There is a difference between mediocre and average, to begin with.
And there's an even more bigger difference between 1/5 and average.
I am not hating on the score for no reason. A 4/10 or 5/10 means the game is really not that good. But 2/10 means it's completely shitty on every single aspect. Which is not the case. The graphics, the atmosphere, the story, the soundtrack still deserve more than that, even if the game is linear and not as spectacluar ...
