After the MGSV fiasco, it's their first foray other than MGS pachinko machines (which we know brings huge business for them). With 30$, and with just the name, I am guessing the budget wasn't much and if the game sells around 1-2 Million, Konami will see it as an success for sure.
Good point on Online services. Nintendo is very very far behind in that game.
What does it mean to only be a secondary console? They can't and they won't make a console which goes toe to toe with PS/XB, as they have time and time again said they always target families and captures general people attention. Nintendo is never going to grab third party support and thus never will be "primary" console. (and I think they're ok with it)

The first game was amazing. The balance between the Titan and the Pilots was just something else, and the map was so well balanced that practically if you wanted, you could have taken out a Titan (though with great skills). The movement from one point to another was lightning fast and had a seamless flow.
Titanfall 2 however is slow (and not a good kind of slow). Maps are big and empty. Fluid movements are dumbed down. Normal COD-mechanics ar...

FFXV was a spinoff, but was sooo good that it ended up being into the mainline entry and quite possible will do add numerous new fans to the franchise.
SpinOff or not, every game should aim for excellence. Our 30$(?) or the franchise-brand-name suddenly isn't worth it JUST because it is a spinoff? I remember BloodDragonDLC being so good it attracted people to Farcry franchise.
