Yes the sports games are yearly iterations, but that's about it.
Looks like a even mix to me.
@pacalypsenow...
The PS2's hitting the magical $199 price point, and disposable income sure helped a TON.
They cut the price by $100 in 2002, a month before E3 or so.
This made it equal in price to the Gamecube and $100 cheaper than the OG Xbox.
Gamecube didn't have the library to compete and Microsoft didn't have the library nor price point to compete.
Microsoft was able to compete w/ 360 (seemed...
Quatum Break Digital Download pre-order on CDKeys.com
http://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-...
only $49 (as of right now)
it's doing WAY better than the 360 which is amazing considering consoles are suppose to be "dead"
The 360 sold like hotcakes (even w/RRoD happening at the beginning)
The PS4 is an anomaly (hey it happens). The One is by NO means doing bad. It's actually doing amazingly well. It's just that the direct competitor to the One is making it look bad, NOT that it's actually doing bad.
I'm sure Microsoft's record ...
@kayoss. because a TON of PS2 owners went to 360 exclusively.
Sony is to dominant brand in the room, no one is arguing that.
But one thing is, Microsoft is a very patient company.
Microsoft doesn't mind chipping away at things, because the $$$ they have allows them to do so.
Robbie Bach, Peter Moore, etc., all have pretty much said that Microsoft is patient, and will throw insane amounts of money at something (no matter how lo...
Playstation and Camera's have basically kept the Mega Corp alive...
My son has his own Xbox One in his room
I also have a day 1 console (now in my bedroom)
One day I walked into a Gamestop and spontaneously purchased an Elite console a few months ago. (now in the man-cave)
I never thought about it, but the thing I like the most is, I just grab the external HDD, and hook it up to whatever xbox im using, and transfer a few games to the local hdd, and disconnect the hdd. (no having to use up bandwith to redownload t...
My Elite console stays put...
I would consider either tradin in my Day One console or just say screw it and have another xbox in the house.
but like I said... To SE/CD they win regardless
They know they made an amazing game, and everybody knows that Microsoft overpaid for the product.
Microsoft overpays for everything. so if the game doesn't hit SE/CD's goals in terms of numbers, im 10000000% sure that the check MS cut more than made up for it.
MS paid $5billy for Minecraft... $5billy for just Minecraft...
SE/CD being disappointed in TR Reboot, was because they h...
i love the comments people are making...
People never seem to get the BIG picture. The game is AMAZING, that's a fact. It hit over a million copies sold with 86% of the sames coming from the Xbox One version. So even if you combine the 360 & Xbox One that's $80-$120 million dollars made (if your going by $40-$60 USD)
So if you go by this logic, RotTR is on pace to of earned a profit or best break even. If this is the case in either instance it...
picked up Sunset...for $20 cant beat that
Im super excited for a new Crackdown rather its using the cloud or not.
i am very excited to see how these cloud specs playout in real world scenarios, Microsoft and Cloudgine better choose their words really carefully when talking about cloud features for this game (or any game for that matter)
Crackdown pretty much the elephant in the room now. all eyes on it wondering if MS (the masters of spin depending on who you ask) can really pull this off.
...
my personal opinion is, there are multiple answers to this.
1.) Re-compiling PS3 games written for the Cell may be very difficult to emulate for.
2.) PS'Now-Flix, a way to make a few bucks...
3.) They seem very comfortable when it comes to emulating and converting PS2 games. So maybe ease of porting was the reason
4.) It's possible that, not is converting/emulating PS3 games hard, it just may be expensive as well. <...
wow... good selection.
very smart move to give killer instinct ultra out for free, with season 3 around the corner. this was a very wise move on microsoft's part.

mr house is right in a sense. ps2 was something special for gamers. the library was about as diverse as i've ever seen on any gaming console prior or after the ps2. there literally was something for everyone.
the real determining factor will be price point. im old enough to remember this, when the ps2 hit that magical $199 price, those things couldn't stay on store shelves. i believe most of their sales came after the $199 price point was established.
xbox one is amazin.
people wont let the reveal of 2013 go.
what i love most about my xbox one is, i dont turn it off..like ever. theres always somethin to do on it.
the day i was done playing batman arkham knight, and just like that i was like "xbox turn to tv" then skyped a skyped a friend of mines and then jumped back to tv and then more gaming.
the thing is, u dont know what u got till it's gone.
i would be t...
im sure developers pride is hit a lil bit when sales dont mmeet expectations.
but one thing ive learned is, microsoft overpays for everything so the paychecks they cut, kind of make devs suck that pride up. notice square enix wish rise of tomb raider sales were higher, but they seem more than happy with the reviews and the check microsoft cut.
should be hitting EA Access sooner than later ...
i probably still wont play it
awwwwwwwwww yeah...
