@IvanSF...
???
this is in regards to video/movie playback.. not games...
Regular Blu-Rays weren't being upscaled, and when this update drops.. that will change...
@Palitera
on paper (and in concept) No Mans Sky was MUCH BIGGER than the staff at Hello Games realized.
there was NO way Hello Games was going to be able to bring the vision to fruition being a small Indie Studio with a VERY limited budget.
Give Hello Games a quarter of the budget that Grand Theft Auto gets and some time, I would bet that it would be a much better game.
the game didn't deliver... i wont excuse t...
people will not anything or anyone, associated with 'no mans sky' just quietly fade away.
at a base level No Mans Sky can be something huge, given if Hello Games had the money and time to do it on a grand scale...
@GamingIVfun @MasterCornholio ...
you two do realize that Mike Ybarra was talking about movies and not video games...
@kylethemurphy
best buy has ks8000 (55") on sale for $999
im still NOT sold on VR...
But I think Resident Evil will be that game, that moves units...
@Nevin1
Negatives:
It is a 10 bit panel but (this is a positive 😁)
Glass on the lower end
I believe its a 60hz tv not 120 (or better)
Not great contrast ratio (dark gray instead blacks)...
peak brightness on low end
Despite being 4K, doesnt support wide cor gamut
The positives: Price, viewing angles, actual 4K output
I'm not gonna tell anyone what to do with their money but, THAT TV SUCKS...
not all 4k tvs are created equal...u get what you pay for
I picked up a PS4PRO the other day and have now tinkered with it simce Friday (or so)...
Here it is point blank; PS4PRO enhanced games is very inconsistent. This is a fact.
Uncharted 4 gets a nice HDR bump (but the game already looked gorgeous on the OG PS4.
inFamous:SS gets a nice cleanup... but that seems to be about it..

PS4Pro has a consistency problem... Point Blank...
infamous:SS, Shadow or Mordor, clean up ok...
Uncharted 4: not bad either....
it's a game by game basis... there is NO consistency with the PS4Pro...
i understand Sony feels that they have to tout the "4K" to be able to move units...
But they really need to advertise "Full 1080p/60fps/Ultra" as well
@blady_man
do all ports on ur tv support hdcp 2.2 or only one port?
change up your ports and try it out.
My play through of inFamous:Second Son on PS4PRO. Im on a Samsung KS8500 4K tv w/HDR
https://m.youtube.com/watch...
*I still hate Delsin*
Will try to stream Shadow of Mordor or The Last of Us for a pinch tonight.
To anyone on the fence on buying a PS4PRO, its okay if you want to wait on more Pro Cotent to be available.
This is a PSA:
If you prefer visuals over performance and do NOT have a 4K tv (with or without HDR) do not get a PS4 Pro
Right now playing inFamous:SS not bad. HDR makes the colors pop.
Performance mode drops the visual quality a bit for smooth framerates
Whats the make and model of ur 4K tv?
Does it have HDR late 2015-onwards models will have HDR. But not all of them.
Downloading inFamous:SS & Shadow of Mordor right now...
Even decided to re-download Bloodborne too either known therw is no Pro4 patch.
Time to see what all The hoopla is about...
i believe sony does offer external hdd support for game backup...
@ShadowKnight...
i got chose the ks8500 because i got it at "cost" which was $899
one of my managers at my job has a friend who works at some accounting firm.
they got a deal that allowed you to buy samsung tv's almost at cost...they were allowed to do invites to friends and family as well (limited invites of course)
i wasn't going to turn this kind of tv down for that price point...
@shadownknight
as much as i give sony crap... i've decided to pick up a ps4pro today.
since im able to return it, if i don't like it...
i recently picked up a samsung ks8500 4k tv *w/hdr*... as well
that replaced my samsung hu7250 4K tv (2014 model no HDR)
i already own shadow of mordor and infamous:ss &first light, so i may as well see how they look and run on the 4Pro...
@GNCFLYER???
this is in regards to movie playback... not games...
