It doesn't work like that. Microsoft is also a gaming publisher and alot of money is spent making games like Halo 3, Forza 2, Gears of War, Viva Pinate and etc. Also alot of money is made on games sales but more money is spent making more consoles and making more new games. This is why companies with smaller pockets like Nintendo make consoles that immediately start making money.

I have read rumors on the internet that microsoft was considering buying Ubisoft but this is only a rumor. If it happens it's great for xbox owners since first party games are cheaper but also since ubisoft makes some pretty good games.
First, all military type games sell better on the xbox then the playstation. Take a look at the sales number. The reason is xbox is a more mature system than the playstation and you can tell this by the types of games that are on each system. You're underestimating Microsofts power with HD-DVD. Without them HD-DVD would have died to blu-ray even though HD-DVD is the more pratical format. Microsoft commands the PC, they made HP back out of Blu-ray and Dell will follow too forcing apple to. Windows is the best OS. Screw Apple and their total lack of third party support. Linuix is not pratical for the average user, it's not consumer friends plus it's always changing. Trust me I have used Linuix Fedora.
