The game sucked because they had a monkey as their director and the deaf ears at SE didn't realize it until it hit them in the face with a 49 metascore.
The new director has had a lot on his plate since he was put into that position. I haven't played the game since that APB like beta but I can say that credit must be given where credit is due. The new director has worked very hard and it looks to be paying off.
And most of their games are looking like winners. I believe they had three stealth games at E3.
If they can have a dynamic multiplayer storymode where people can play as the background people (with their own story) while somebody plays storymode as Aiden Pearce, that will be a huge step for multiplayer.
As it is now, multiplayer is where it was back when it first started on PC. Shoot each other for no reason, respawn, repeat, not to say that that is boring. We just need progress and Watch Dogs seems to be one of the few games that even attempts to provide that.
They won't be bothered by the hundreds of families that slaughtered in Skyrim but they'll PMS if I step on a rats tail on my way to the next village.
Dark Souls is not really open world. It is true that the whole world is connect but it isn't like Skyrim or GTA where the world is massive. There just aren't loading screens. It isn't much different than Demon's Souls.
But MMOs are mostly open world and are all about co-op.
Start watching at 6:04 and be amazed. I wish PlayStation All-stars was more like this. This reminds me of Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi, only better.
I don't think that they are targeting younger people at all. Sly Cooper: Theives in Time is for people who played back on PS2 (they're now older) but there will of course be younger people playing it. I don't think that is the reason why they made it though.
LittleBigPlanet is for younger people. IMO that is one of the few games that is made for everyone.
Battle Royale is definitely not being made for kids. It is being made for Playstation fans o...
Can't wait for Tekken X Street Fighter as well, not because I don't like Street Fighter but because I would like to play Street Fighter in 3D while trying out Tekken without worrying about being raped with DLC.
A third party game will never show us the power of the PS3. I don't think a third party could even show the power of the 360. Only exclusives can push things to the limit.
L.A. Noire originally belonged to Sony as well.
I agree. This is was a great video. While I am disappointed about the 32 build cap staying where it is, at least we know why. LBI is a great dev team and I think that Jobe is much better than that fat mouth called Jaffe.
Finally, another 32 player shooter with server browsers and clan matches is releasing. The last time this happened was in Feb. 2009 with Killzone 2. I had high hopes for Brink which failed. I had hope for Battlefield 3 but even though it has server browsers, it costs money and the game isn't as fun as BC2. Now we have this game, Starhawk. I played the beta and I know it won't disappoint.
They said there will be a demo after release. Since Warhawk had a multiplayer demo, I assume they'd do the same here and may put in single player as well.
December VGA's reannouncement.
I enjoyed the demo but felt that the trash mobs are too easy to kill compared to the bosses. One swipe from the paw of a lion takes me to 20% health and I have to spam the ask for heal button which is annoying. I'd rather have it so the difficulty is a bit more balanced. Being able to heal myself would help but I'm sure that is in the full game. Too bad it doesn't have multiplayer...yet.
Kevin Butler really should be a character in this game.
:/
With Starhawk and Max Payne 3 (ignoring Dragon's Dogma) next month, I can't see this doing well even though its a military shooter.
I was just about to say that.
The weapon customization is the best that I have ever seen. But the graphics are below average. One of the maps looks just like MAG. Was this the free to play Ghost Recon game?
They need to say it over and over because we have nothing to do but to speculate on why it is taking so long. Maybe if they actually showed up at E3 at Sony's conference with a trailer and said they were sticking with PS3, people MAY believe them. But we've been burned before.
