Yeah I'll definitely have to pick this one up.
This game looks pretty awesome. Definitely has that dark souls vibe.
Slender Man anyone? Scared the crap out of me...
To me, it never really sounded cool in the first place. If they did something creative with it then maybe I'd check it out. But from what I'm reading, we ain't gettin jack.
Hard pass.
Trailer is pretty awesome. Definitely has that dark souls vibe.
True League is FTP, but I'm just saying I don't think it's really a fair argument to call Evolve a $120 game. Not saying I agree with their DLC model, but that one point is a little shakey and it's thrown around a lot.
$130? Like the article says, that's like getting mad at League of Legends for having $2500 worth of skins and champions.
I don't know about you guys, but $2500 is way too much for a game.
Everyone seems to be more upset by the timing of it all. We can deal with DLC a few months after release but give it to us right away and we'll destroy you. Even if it's just skins.
The devs actually said that all of the upcoming maps will be free because they don't want to divide the community.
So yeah there's definitely a problem with DLC usage in the industry, but I don't know if torching Evolve is really getting our message across.
I can't stop doing those War Room missions. There's something really addictive about them.
I'm ashamed to say I've never played a Resident Evil game. Maybe it's time to give it a shot.
The Halo 3 "Believe" trailer was awesome too
I can't wait until it goes full Iron Man and you can "touch" the digital image.
I believe that's what he's talking about in the article. He loves him some Mario Kart.
I guess it really comes down to the type of gamer that you are. I love Mario Kart as much as the next guy, but I've also been absolutely loving Dragon Age Inquisition (more so than any other game for awhile). It's a different kind of fun for sure, but any game that gives you a world to explore and has complexity beyond hack and slash really gets my attention. Witcher comes to mind. So I don't konw, comparing Dragon Age to Mario Kart a little like comparing Just Dance to Resident E...
"Ohhh it's powdered coffee"
Dragon Age is easily in my top 5 for game of the year
Yeah those kinds of transactions are fine. Microtransaction has become a dirty word but it totally works and doesn't interfere with the game when it's done right. If you want to pay $10 for a funny hat, go for it and support the free-to-play game.
I'm all for the free-to-play model for MMOs with microtransactions for cosmetics. But once I see a pay-to-win microtransaction pop up, it really hurts the game for me. This is ESPECIALLY true with console games. For instance, I'm liking the Dragon Age Inquisition multiplayer, but even in a huge $60 title like this I'm seeing ways to spend more money to win faster. It's just such an obvious, quick and dirty way to make money. It hurts my gamer soul.
Yeah they totally played up that e-sports angle. There's a whole arena mode that feels like there should be an audience cheering. The high-fiving at the end of each match is kind of ridiculous though haha
Looks like this one is living up to the hype. So many good games are out.
