Definitely a tough call for a fan. Buy the game to support Kojima's final MG game or don't buy the game to punish Konami for disowning MG's creator?
Can't. Stop. Playing.
That goddamn horse in Shadow of the Colossus gets me every time.
There really is nothing this summer. I'll finally get the time to beat the witcher
Loved asylum and city, can't wait to pick this one up
Well that's a shame, scratch that one off my list
The Taken King does actually have a fair amount of content compared to the first two expansios but its just so expensive and at this point I don't want to shell out another 40.
For new gamers this is actually a great deal. Original game and all 3 expansions for 60. But for us guys who have been playing from the start, it's just been a $140 trek that hasn't really been worth it.

BC is not something I was really excited about but I know it's one of the most requested features for this generation of consoles so that pushes it towards amazing. Also, BC is not an easy thing to implement at all so good on MS for making it happen.
Since it looks like Square is going for a complete remake rather than just an HD remake, I can definitely see them dubbing it in both english and japanese.
I would have liked to see Quantum Break or Cyberpunk 2077 too.
Because this new expansion includes the original game as well. To new players this is a great deal, but to current players it feels like paying for something you largely already own; especially since the new content doesn't seem worth the cost of a full game.
Really they should be offering the expansion separately for like $25.
Backwards compatibility was never high on my priority list but I know a lot of the gaming community is really passionate about it so it's nice to see it added.
The question in the article is really: Would you prefer a game that runs at 60 FPS that cuts out features or a game that runs at 30 FPS that has everything.
Halo 5 devs at their own admission cut out split-screen in favor of keeping the game at 60 FPS. They made a pretty distinct choice on the matter.
I guess the issue is really: Should games leave features behind to maintain 60 FPS
It's a shame that such a fresh concept didn't have the substance to make it one of the greats. I'm glad Nintendo took the risk with a new IP but they've gotta go all in with it if they want to do it right.

Pretty awesome website, didn't know it existed
It can be done right and it can be done wrong. These days it seems like every game is "going open-world" and it's really starting to bother me.
