Just looking at the library by the end of this year makes me drool a little.
3DS is already one of my favorite game systems ever. Never had a system give so much to keep me engaged.
Lots of adults happy too.
Good thing it's coming out for wii u then I guess. I've always liked that style of game. Of course it's not like zelda games aren't made for adults too. But i'd like to see more games taking cues from that platforming exporation style of gameplay. Fps' are just stupid. I want to actually think to progress in a game.

Yes, it controls better it is half brand new tracks half mixtape of past tracks, new weapons. I think what you don't understand is it is such a good game concept that it only needs to be improved. Mario Kart 7 is fantastic because it found that balance of the great old ideas and great new Ideas to make an incredibly fun game. I mean, nintendo took the time to make sure there is an comprehensive network you could connect to to play against other people in this great title. ...

Being popular is not the same thing as overrated. They are popular becuse with nintendo the quality is always the most important aspect and because of that they are consistently good. Take Mario Kart 7's reviews and compare those to mod nation racers.
I imagine next year we'll have more reasons. Right now vita has better graphics as it's primary argument with most the standard ds features thrown in for the hell of it. Until i see more than 5 games I care about on that thing, I'll hold off.
Basically from that his entire reasoning is that nintendo will price Wii U too high and portable gaming is all smart phones. Again, Pratcher's lack of knowledge will be what makes him wrong about nintendo again.

1. It's VGchartz, I'm used to everyone immediately dismissing these numbers? Why the sudden change?
2. It says around 300k sold im america on it's first week, that's less then 3ds sold and everyone claimed that was a flop.

JEsus my 3ds is getting played and I'm already at that point where I'm having difficulty choosing between what to play. Do I play 1 of my 5 in rotation GBA titles, mario kart 7 online, supermario land 3d or metal gear solid 3ds?
Right now MGS3d is winning with occasional breaks with a few kart races and some fire emblem when I just needs something for quick distraction.
No gaming device I have ever owned has given me so much for being an early adopter...
Only on n4g will a big name portable console release with next to no fanfare and clearly poor sales. Then we get nothing but articles about how NINTENDO is doomed.

3DS is really a turning point in nintendo. More done right than ever before. For me the endgame is Circle pad pro. Haters tend to act like it's some travesty. Made for the best portable experience I've ever had. Plus the slider pad is leagues above vita's bab...
Spoiler: I've played it, this was the assessment I made. Too big, joysticks are disappointing and the dpad makes it even worse. Touch was very responsive though.
The biggest thing I didn't like is the size. It's just ridiculous for something considered portable.
Fatter then the nds fat?! This thing isn't portable at all. Also, those baby joysticks feel like crap there's absolutely no play in those dumb things and it's dpad has that mooshy 360dpad feel. Sony has made a terrible mistake. These next few months are gonna be a tough pill to swallow for Sony loyal.
Odd, because my professional analysis says Nintendo is more focused then ever and the sales are backing up that fact. Profits are down because they are investing heavily in R&D and game development right now.
Game informer really has a thing against nintendo platforms. Back when this was released for ps2 it got an 95 from them. Now it's out for 3ds with the main improvements being now it's all in 3d, which works great and is the only 3ds game i've played where 3d looks best all the way up. They include great controls exactly mirroring the original and it looks better. Lower score anyway. Why?

Likeliest explanation, most people got what they wanted in December and they didn't have a whole lot of money for much through January. Coupled with sparse releases and it's perfectly understandable. Pratcher's a paranoid Looney.
As someone who didn't play the original on ps2 I'll say, even with circle pad pro, it takes a big time investment to get a handle on the controls and stealth. Once you get it though. It's a hell of a ride.
