to slay the goliath that is the Nintendo wii. I'm starting to see the same snap guesswork of when ps3 and wii came out. It remains that wii has an install base that will take months of these numbers to break. I imagine we will see stories like this all month up until NPD numbers come out and we get the official month long tally. It will be huge until after next month when the levels return to normal. It's going to be a long month and a half of ps3 hype articles... sigh.
It seems that with a possible sony win on the horizon then magically Japan numbers will matter again. After last week where ps3 sold only 800 units and the numbers did not represent anything. Suddenly because of a few weeks of good numbers. It appears that these headline should start stating. "Is sony over wii numbers in japan? Oh! They are? Then they are automatically and forever the winjners of all time!" Next week... "Japan numbers don't matter again."
I kinda like this. The levels do look like they don't have the art of wipeout levels. But the speed is there. if they can pull off wifi at 60fps. I would be very happy. I love fast futuristic racers. I loved the crap out of wipeoutXL up to wipeout fusion. Personally I think Wip3out is one of the greatest console racers of all time. If they can give me a racer with that same sort of feeling then i have already purchased this weather I like it or not... seriously even if it doesen't have the pe...
I hope this applies to the US wii's as well. New channels are always welcome. Seeing as there hasn't been a new one since check mii out was released. Hopefully with all these updates we might see the mii limit finally go over 100.
The big question is if it will last that long for sony. If they can keep up the preorder numbers week after week and month after month for like 2 years. Then sony will easily beat the wii.

Monster Hunter 3 is being released as a this gen title. Featuring this gen features and this gen graphics. On a machine produced for this gen. I dunno... does it hurt to twist reality to your own liking? Or is it relatively painless?
It looks like nothing too big. The Main charge blast still bends space around it which is the only effect I have considered important with the rifles. Still eyecandy even if a few minor differences. Did I mention 3 games on one disc? It's all three Metroid games on one disk.... it costs only 49.99. Doesn't change the fact that that is three games worth of morph ball puzzles. Who cares!

Where are the graphs and numbers to back any of this up??? Also it says it outsold the DS lite and says nothing about the comparison of dsi sales to these numbers. Is it possible this is a hoax article or just an article with unreliable sources. There may be a distinct possibility. I'll wait until and official number from an official source says otherwise. Right now this article leaves me with a few too many questions to take at face value.

Where are the differences?!?! Sometimes I swear people just like to search desperately for anything to whine about for wii titles. I see absolutely no difference. I see someone has pointed out somewhat minor water effects and particle effects. But really... how greatly does that effect the core gameplay and enjoyment again?

Namely the online bit. I dare you to compare the reliability of COD: WaW wii to Modern warfare on PS3. I am betting 50 bucks that the wii gets a game going much much faster. Mario kart wii is very quick to find new matches and rarely if ever do those races lag or drop out.

I do really want to explore the homebrew possibilities on my wii but fear of an update making my system unusable has kept me from doing so. I don't want to miss out on the kick ass lineup wii owners are getting because i wanted to experiment. I expect homebrew is the future for my wii once The Next nintendo system comes out. Then I don't care anyhow. Maybe i'll even work on the USB drive hack that l3ets you load up your games from a connected usb drive.
