So those author has played what...one game?
Oh ok. I thought they had shown a trailer or what not before.
Thanks for clearing that up !
I'm confused...wasn't the world premiere back when the game was announced?
I am just starting Halo 4 (on the second stage) and am so far very underwhelmed. There is a lot more game to play so as of right now it may turn around.
Although if the rest of the game is as "good" as the first stage and part of the second, I'd say its around a 6ish or so.
(and this is from someone who has beat halo 3, halo reach, odst and wars)
There are other girls out of that community if she isn't your type - but no need to be an a$$ about it, right?
Maybe this is a sign the industry needs to focus more on cost effective development?
Is it impossible to make a fun game without a massive dev team working insane hours for years on end?
When a title has to sell 2 million to break even, it's time to think maybe the industry needs to focus on some fun yet smaller scale titles.
Good ! Hoping MS will decide to pump out some more core titles. While I do respect them trying to make core Kinect titles, I bought a 360 years ago for the great core experience (with a controller). This is great news, hope to see more of it.
A good score, although the laughable line of sight/shot percentages takes away from the combat immersion for me a bit. Sometimes it is laugh out loud bad.
Luckily, the rest of the game is so tight and well made it stil is a great experience. A must play of 2012
@blonde - and maybe, just maybe, just as crazy, many of us did not like these low selling games.
As for the "translation", I was basically referring to how many gamers "gush" over unique games, many times overlooking basic quality issues. Poor writing, weak gameplay, etc often get overlooked as long as something is deemed "unique".
As for raunchy toilet humor, that is fine if you like that. I didn't. Low brow or toilet humor ...
You forgot bulletstorm on this list !
Outside of Odyssey (which I never liked a NT game, they seem to have no idea how to make a proper combat experience) and SOTD (mediocre shooter, trying to hard dialogue and writing) I agree with several of these.
Couldn't agree more ! I think most who defend those games are part of the "look cool by praising low selling games" crowd.
SOTD was a mediocre shooter at best. You could argue it was "unique" in its universe, but that doesn tmean good.
And OMG the lame humor. There was one part you had to hold off the enemies and he just kept saying "take my big boner". I was like THIS is funny? No, its trying to hard to be edgy or cool.
Eventually yes. In the near future, no.
File sizes, internet connections, bandwidth issues, etc. We just aren't there yet.
No doubt in my mind within 10-20 years majority of all games will be downloadable.
Nice to see sony copy the wiimote and the achievement system while we are at it.
The XMB and Live interface look nothing alike. And what ads are shoved down my throat? I can see the argument of why they shouldnt be there....but they are minimal and by no means forced. I dont even notice them most of the time.
I try to respect others opinions...but when they are this misguided its awful difficult.
Metro 2033 for 10 bucks? damn, might have to pick this up. Heard good things and I like that price.
That's fine and to each their own.
But in a game where "realism" is focused on (when someone is dead, they die forever, nations react to your actions, etc) it breaks the feel when shots go through walls, when you miss point blank shots with a shotty, or when you nail a cross the field shot with a pistol w/o any kind of aim enhancements.
In skyrim, they dont sell the reality angle, its focused on the wide world to explore and the fantasy of the w...
It's not THAT good. It's fun. But not a 95%
Enemies (and you) can shoot through walls (WTF) on and off.
Percentages make zero sense (shooting point blank with a shotgun at 74%, shooting mid to long range with a pistal at 80+%, no concept of weapon trajectory either).
Resources are oddly managed (the world is invaded and fighting yet you can make any kind of deals or other misc things w nations to expedite important materials)
etc
Ahhh comments sections like these remind me of the days of PSN+ emerging.
The whole issue of are the games free or part of a service.
However, XBLG has just added the free to play game project. Before today gold was still there and had X amount of services. This is a new one....and no additional charge.
So yes, it isn't free because you need to pay to play it.
But no, it is free because you are not paying anything within the servi...
Let's see. An EX employee...bashing the former employer...right around the time of her new novel.
Yep, I am sure nothing but pure intentions here.
I think this MAY BE the highest score I have seen for this game on the internet and seems way off base from the ones I have been seeing.
To each their own and reviews are opinions, I get that. But the opinion of "biogamergirl" seems to be VERY different than that of the general gaming community.
Although I respect the chief's combat expertise, something about his general demeanor and overall skill set didn't lead me to think him best for one of these spots =)
