Why is it impossible for people on this site to talk about the PS4 without bashing the X1?
Is it THAT hard to accept the fact some people might enjoy the games that MS is offering? Is it that unheard of to think Killer Instinct, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, etc. could be fun now? Or that games like Halo 5, Quantum Break, Titanfall, etc. look fun?

I loved GEoW 3. I really did! I would love for them to go back to what worked. I am unsure if PFC (now rebranded Epic Studios Poland) was to blame or if Epic told them the direction to go but Judgment was just awful.
The sad thing (to me) is Sony planned to do the EXACT SAME THING. Many see Sony as a paragon of virtue, when they aren't. They are a company out for a profit, nothing more. Had MS not gotten the backlash, aggressive DRM would have been on that platform as well.
And I can respect your view. But people, companies, etc. screw up. When someone (or a group) is willing to make changes and improve, I do not see that as a negative. Just my 0.02!
A few things here...
1 - It DEFINITELY can happen. MS doesn't own the IP and they would need to pay out big to make it happen (which they already shelled out big cash for Titanfall, so can they dole out another truckload to secure gears?)
2 - So much MS hate here, it's sad. While the system had issues before the launch (that were fixed) it is a really fun system and some of its early games are very fun (KI, DR3 and Ryse - even if the metacritic sucks,...
After playing Ryse, I WILL NEVER take reviewers seriously again. So when I see people praise Knack, I am not skeptical at all.
Ryse had a metacritic of 60 yet it was one of the best games I played in sometime on any platform. I have no doubt Knack could be one that was also blasted WAY beyond the amount it should have.
As for Knack beating Mario, the PS4 bundled it AND the Wii U sales have been sluggish. No surprise here.
I am not surprised. The PS4 had much better momentum going into the launch window thanks to the early X1 blunders. It is 100 cheaper. And PS+ is an amazing value.
However, I liked the X1 exclusives in comparison to the PS4's, at least early on. So I bought an X1 and will get a PS4 in 2015.
Killer Instinct has been a blast, Ryse was MUCH better than the metacritic would have you think and Dead Rising 3 is seriously impressive. I am also looking forward to...
Horrible list (just my opinion). If they announced titles like these at the reveal, I am pre-ordering a PS4.
What about a new alan wake, or a crackdown or perfect dark reboot? How about a killer instinct revival? Why not try to make a proper banjo kazooie or kameo? There is a ton of stuff they could do better than this.

I read the article...and this doesn't seem like they are slinging mud. They have done MUCH worse...like when they said bulletstorm could lead to rape or that mass effect was a sex sim.

Sony went from a powerhouse dominant console to slugging it out and barely escaping with the silver medal (and that is even with the xenphobic JPN region giving Sony 1/3 of the gaming world by default)...and this is something to celebrate? I do believe the PS4 is outselling the X1 based on the general net reaction.
However, I am one to at least take notice when someone from an established arena such as Time states there could be question as to the exact sales rate over random net users. I could be odd.
Also, when we were looking for our X1, we had to fight tooth and nail for ours when there were several PS4s in stock. Although from what I hear this isn't the norm, this could be a sign it is...
