This is a B.S. article. Comparing these two is like apples to oranges. Valve is mainly a developer and small-time publisher, while EA is a huge entertainment publisher and distributer. Of course they will have different buisness practices.
I don't think the author knows that hard copies of Valve games are distributed by EA either.

That would be cool, a lot of water there too. That's why I always thought St. Louis would be great, there's the arch to explore, the Mississippi river could be a great way to add DLC to the game too. Go north for snow, south for swamp.

Anyway, I think it's cool that he found it himself, and I look forward to more of this type of thing as we get closer to the reveal date of my most anticipated game since....probably ever.
ET: Quake Wars on PC is still my favorite MP game ever. I think with Brink they got a little over ambitious and released an unfinished game so they could get it out 6 months before CoD & BF3. I think if it was released this fall or next spring with more time to polish, you would have a completely different game.

I don't play CoD, but if the next BF scrapped the SP I wouldn't shed a tear over it. The SP in BF3 was pretty decent and it gave me something to do while I was waiting for the cable company to replace my modem, but I wouldn't miss it if it were gone.
I would've just flipped him a copy of COD4 or MW2 and said "just take this, it's the same thing". Crisis averted.

I've finished the campaign 3 times on PS3 and never saw the "teleportation" or "spontaneous death". All the others though.
Satire or not, this article and the author who wrote it are an immense MW3 fanboy failure.
At the bare minimum, look up the opening title screen for BF3 on Youtube before writing a gem like "Then there's the red/orange strobe effect on the BF3 box... what is that supposed to be? It's silly."

2K bought the THIRD PARTY rights to make a game using MLB names and likenesses. Therefore preventing ANY third party developer from making an MLB game.
Sony is allowed to make The Show because it's studio is defined as "first party", it's owned by Sony and only develops games for Sony game systems.
EA or any other third party developer who wants to make an MLB game has to wait for 2K's licence to expire a...

It's impossible to not play favorites when there are so many different companies involved with gaming hardware, software, peripherals etc. For somebody to check this one would mean they split time equally on every game on every gaming system.
