I think people are just bit drunk on a little something something. or home's round the corner and they know it. disagreeing just cause they can and that some people take the disagreeing a litte to seriosely. some one disagreed. so what exactly?
yep, straight from the department of the bleeding obvious...cheque pls.
there was another thread on n4g earlier where a bunch of us where trying to convince someone that 'this' anouncement is the biggie. yes the others were big but this one is the biggest non-movie studio announcement. I mean you can never say never but come on already. there's hardly anyone out there who thinks HD-DVD has a chance. Walmart is the behemoth of behemoths.
and someone else replied, sure. Walmart failed in some countries as well. As in properly failed. but then you go read up that walmart just came in and bought asda. and you get a good impression. then you hear that wallmart, a retail company makes/deals with more money then banks: HSBC, Barclays, bank of america, oil companies: BP, Shell, etc car manufactorers: GM, Toyata,Ford... well basically every company in the world bar one oil company. And now your struggling to find Tesco amongst the real...
bubbles 4 you...
just compare the HD-DVD camp with the Bluray consortium. The bluray consortium just had so much fire power to start with and then got more support left, right and centre...
this is the second post I've read from you...you are officialy my favourite commenter on this site.... LOL!!!!!!
'part of the walmart family'
Lets put it this way..if you've got enough money to buy Asda then...
@mighty_douche:
dude...its kind of like the US goverment in the retail world. When they talk, people tend to listen.
edit: if there wasn't blu-ray in the ps3 then we wouln't be having this debate. Imagine what would have happened to ps3, had the blu-ray failed. The groundwork is there for blu-ray/hd-dvd stories and Wal-mart is one of the biggest players in the market....
even they knew the end was nigh when warner bros anounced they were pro blu-ray. Maybe some didn't agree but they knew. And yes, this really is pretty much it. Walmart has so much finiancial power that its' seriously scary. probably more then Toshiba and Sony combined. So yeh I would say this was probably it.
Ps. can anyone actually come up with an argument that could maybe suggest that HD-DVD could actually win the war now? even if it is seriously hypothetical!
but...but...but...VG charts said....
unless of course shortages only happened in the US. Oh I don't know...the news is that PS3 kicked some serious 360 ass. I suppose they could have run out, but then Vg charts didn't report nor did Microsoft until a couple of hours ago...actually no one in the entire industry did. I suppose this gives credit to nintendo and their wii more then anything. npd or no npd their stocks are a running low, day in day out.
I haven't bought mine yet for that differance. Its fifteen pounds difference I saw today
There is such a thing as an external hard drive right. Can't you run it off that?
not where I live....and of course if you actually abide by the law.
I didn't get it at first...mlol.
some body understands you though, you got 2 disagrees. LOL. They felt they had to get their point through I guess.
without the press I reckon it would have gone lower...
has anybody heard of any rumours or facts of what its going to be called. Its not going to Resistance, fall of man 2 is it? I bet its Resistance 2, come the revolution.
And they do it at regular intervals, not every other day like some sites. So if someone 'is' going to do it, I'd prefer eurogamer.
@Mkred: I agree, it is silly...8/10 games can't be contenders for game of the year (I'm not saying that its definitely going to be either) but Burnout is according to a lot of people, along with Devil May Cry, the games of the year so far.
It really might show ratio of hardcore/medium against casual in wii userbase.
every one keeps saying that XMB has to drop its system memory footprint but like if you launch from home, would you not have home/system footprint plus xmb to battle the game ram needed?
Basically isn't home going to take more memory up then in game XMB? and even more so both together?
