Sadly... I got to agree with that... There was just TOO MUCH DIALOGUE!! Especially after Futaba's Palace, they spend WEEKS just talking and talking and talking. Nothing to actually play; just read and listen. The game got so long for me that I was begging for it to end... I had been playing it since launch and finished it just last night to my relief. Finally, I can move to something else.

Dont get me wrong, it is an awesome game and I overall love it. It is a work of p...

They are having the excellent first year but what will happen after that? Nintendo has chosen to blow all their load early but what will happen after they have released all their major titles in the first year or two? People wont be seeing another Zelda, 3D Mario, and Xenoblade anytime soon. They cant possibly keep pumping games at the current rate and things will slow down once the current lineup of games is out of the way. Nintendo takes 4-5 years to release a new sequel in each of its majo...

Why is everybody pretending as if Switch sales figures are something extraordinary. The figures released by Nintendo say something else. It sold only 1.97 million in the last quarter. It did sell 2.74 million in the launch month but after that the sales dropped off the cliff and it sold only 1.97 million in the next 3 months. Overall, it has sold around 4.7 million in 4 months whereas the PS4 sold 7 million in its first 5 months on the market. The Switch is selling nicely but nothing extraord...

@indyman77

You are calling me defensive? Man, the irony. Did you bother reading the article?? The quarterly sales were reported by Nintendo themselves and you are asking me for proof?? How blindly loyal and defensive can you get?? Here is the quote from the article,

"The Switch shipped 1.97 million units during the quarter (Between April 1st and June 30th), while 8.14 million software units found their way to retailers."

The 2...

Well, according to Bungie the beta is a very small part of the full game and they did not feature many of the changes in it to delight and surprise the gamers when they play the game for the first time... Take that as you will since they have lied before... But I have been staying update with IGN first videos so I know how much content and features were not shown in the beta and how different the actual game will be. The beta is a very old build and devs have progressed significantly since th...

Man you are just trolling now. The only reason it has a few great games to play right now is because of ports, ports, and more ports. Anyway metacritic scores and quality alone do not determine what will sell more. The number and variety of games play a major role as well. Nintendo consoles historically have very few quality first party games released on them and there is a lack third party games which limits their sales potential. Long droughts, no third party games and just a single game in...

It was 65 Mb for me too. I was just wondering why the article is reporting 1.3 Gb.

@krysis

You do not make sense... Have no idea what you said there. Yes, this is a much older build and the actual game in its current state has higher power ammo drops. It is just not reflected in the beta. They are using the beta to see how it works in the older state and if the changes they have made in the latest build are for the better or worse and if they they need to retain anything from the older build. Bungie has already announced that. The haters are just ignorant...

Keep in mind that this beta does not represents the actual full game including the ammo economy and drop rates. I agree with you there that PvP is dictating how PvE will be played and it would be better if PvP nerfs/changes do not impact PvE. However, if you have been following Bungie updates and news then you will know that Bungie has already increased the PvE power ammo drop rates in the actual game. They are also implementing guaranteed power ammo drops from certain types of enemies. Proba...

Exactly. Most of the articles I have read are going off based on just a beta that is from an older build without the core systems in place. People are just jumping the gun without even playing the game in a finished form. Even at the current time the actual game is very different from this beta as announced by Bungie. The beta is just for testing servers, matchmaking, connectivity, ammo economy, weapon balance and class balance so they can make adjustments for the full game. It does not repre...

I agree with you wholeheartedly and am a regular PvP player myself but I also see the point that PvP adversely impacts PvE. All the guns, abilities, and super nerfs in D1 were made due to PvP imbalances but they also affected PvE. Snipers flinched more, shotguns lose crits/accuracy, hunter abilities nerfed, storm trance nerfed, Truth nerfed, handcannons nerfed, low-rate of pulse rifles nerfed etc. etc. Those PvP nerfs made many things useless and unfeasible in PvE.

Even now...

Damn... looks so bland, boring, and repetitive. This game will bomb hard. And they have still not showed that cloud-powered fully destructible multiplayer; there is something very fishy about this game.

@UR2EZ

Yes, they are going to change the game that much because this is a very old build. Several core systems are offline. Bungie has also announced how the latest build is significantly different from this one in terms of gameplay, ammo economy, character progression. Our characters wont be Lvl. 20 from the start, all abilities wont be unlocked from the beginning, we wont get exotics lying on a rack, there will be several more exotics, we wont have the new classes from th...

The author never exactly mentions what did he find disappointing with the game. There are massive changes to the game both in PvE and PvP. People just have no idea what they are talking about and just want to get on the hate-train. Any Destiny veteran can tell you that because he knows how the systems used to work and how they work now. I loved Destiny and played it for more 1,031 hours since launch. Yeah, there are websites that keep count of time spent on Destiny... Lol. And I am looking fo...

It is beta. What did you expect?? They are just testing out the game and servers. They already announced that it does not represent the actual game and does not features all the systems such as progression, leveling, loot drops, patrols, quests, farm, vendors, etc. etc.

Well, what else have Nintendo Switch owners got to play? When there is no competition on a platform and only a couple of games worth playing exist then everybody would buy those games. Wii U games sold a lot too with very high attach rates because there were so few games to play on it.

Well that is true but it depends upon the player whether he finds something to do or not. People are exploring and finding secret areas and locations in that single strike. I have been playing the strike with different classes and subclasses with different weapon setups. I also wander around Nessus looking for things. I found a locked door with the Vault of Glass symbol right near the beginning of the strike. Some mysterious portals appear out of nowhere if you wait a little which lead you th...

Nah... each game is different so how it can be considered milked. There is no continuity among them (except for the sequels like X-2 and XIII-2 etc.) It is just a brand name that releases different and new RPGs under a single title.

FF8 is my favorite FF too! It was my first FF game and I love it with all my heart. The locations, soundtrack, graphics, characters, gameplay etc. is my favorite. I just loved wandering around balamb garden, Winhill, Balamb City, or Fisherman Horizon with the soothing soundtrack playing in the background. Making every monster life miserable with a bad breath by Quistis and then ending it with a shockwave pulsar was my favorite past time. Triple Triad is my favorite minigame ever and played it...
