Sony:
*D/L Movies & TV Shows SD/HD. (RENT or BUY) Library is currently extremely small. Free to access for all PSN users.
*Burn media directly to the hdd. (Tedious. Required for non-converted Divx playback & the few games that allow for Custom Soundtracks.) Can use any standard notebook hdd.
*Stream media from PC using 3rd party software (some issues; can't use streaming for PS3s limited-functional custom soundtracks, some software issues)

got knocked out after about a 10 year reign! And do you think his reign stregnthed his weak attempts at a comeback?
Sony had a 10 year reign...great. But they didn't have so much stronger of a competitor before. MS just got in the game so how could they have 10 years? That's why the consensus was that MS was in it for the short term-like their WebTV device. And Nintendo; they never submitted like Sega did. And what doesn't defeat you makes you stronger. They are the true p...
Thank you. That answered my questions moreso than this BS article.
@18.2 XBL Silver (FREE) accounts also have access to the Video Store so....what are you saying??
Everytime Sony takes a small step to ketchup...MS jumps further in leaps & bounds. It's like a turtle trying to catch a rabbit...and this ain't Bugs Bunny!
Konami is 'setting the bar' of what and how much to charge for PSN suckers..I mean users. :P
Expect other devs to do the same eventually.
* Old article
* Dumb article
* Freeware tool has issues the arthur evidently doesn't want you to be aware of.
* Freeware tool doesn't let you share the movie with up to 7 friends.
Correct! This shouldn't be PS Video Store vs XBL Netflix.
Netflix is an addendum...an extra (FREE) OPTION for watching movies over XBL. AND up to 7 of your friends can watch the movie with you!
Sony can't match the amount of videos on XBL video Store or the features of it. And please don't give me the tired, old rebuttal of; "In time, Sony will catch up...." You've been singing that same tune about the PS Network and almost 3 years later your just g...
Is that a 360 controller on the coffee table?
a GAME that justifies a $400-$600 purchase...depending on when you bought the PS3. Now for movie collectors...it's a justifiable purchase...unless your TRULY ahead of the game and you're storing all your movies on your PC's hdd.
When multiplat games are generally better on the 360, and the online games are better because the online service is better on the 360, then yea...I'd have nothing to say about FF13 either.
They're probabaly still gasping from the new das...
I wanna know how this will tie in with the video chat & IM service. Perhaps 4-8 party video chat as well? And I want to see how a party room looks.

Here lies the PS3. Though it was initially thought she would put up a good fight prior to her conception...it was soon realized that her prowess was nothing more than a misconception that paved the way for BluRay to reign in the Movie industry.
With the announcement of Home and firmware after firmware updates, people kept up the struggle with the hope that one day...one day her Online service would equal if not surpass XBL...
1. Eternal Champions
2. Colony Wars
3. Beyond Good & Evil
4. Deus Ex: Invisible Wars
5. Shadowrun
6. Max Payne (though there's a movie & pt2 sucked, it could've been as big as Halo)
7. Brute Force (ok, I said it! But it's the gameplay. the story was weak.)
8. Deathrow
9. Men of Valor (especially online)
10.Serious Sam I/II
BTW FT site. It's overrun by fanboys.
I'm big enough to say I was wrong...about the notifications. The 2.4 videos I've seen didn't include that.
But even still, without cross-game invites after 2 years on the market & PS3 in development since before 2005...it's still a scrappy crumb they threw you and not even a bone!
- - - - - - - -
You guys are ballz over chin cause you can get XMB in-game & check your messages? Wow what a bone Sony threw you...after 2 years!
This means that you have to randomly & constantly check your XMB as you're playing because the KEY feature here is NOTIFICATIONS. There are no audio/visual NOTIFICATION to ALERT you that you have a msg. And you still can't do cross-game invites, so what good is this really?
And the other major part; custom soundtracks. Not...
stereotypical and racial to say that "The Japanese don't like western products"...? If I, or anyone tell you that Japanese tend to like small devices, than I suppose that's racial as well? Would you not say this article is racial or at least stereotypical?
I think you took offense to a light-hearted joke.
These stories are REALLY getting old & BORING!!
FACT: MS came out first, has the sales lead (over Sony), has more games, has a more robust online service and a lower price tag.
FACT: Sony is selling the PS3 as a cheap BluRay player when in fact it IS an expensive Game Console.
PREDICTIONS: Sony will take the lead ________.
A. This X-mas
B. In 2008
C. If they do well in Europe
D. Never
E. When they lower the pr...
I had on the old Xbox (single player) was Deus Ex: Invisible Wars and Beyond Good & Evil (which also is a must for a re-make or part 2)!
I'm simply stating this is a BIG buying season in Japan right now. I'm NOT saying they should be buying PS3s...but if suddenly the sales of PS3s drops during their biggest sale season...it don't look good.
What's the since in playing online if you can't play (theoretically) against all PSN users no matter the locale?
