Then it was; "Just wait until LAIR comes out."

* 2008 was a better year for PS3 comparable to 360's 2007 when all they had was 1 game; MGS4 (that still didn't sell well compared to even CoD4 on the PS3)
* Multiplats are better on PS3

* MS ripped Sony off - after Sony gets trophies, custom soundtrcks and a video store
* Bluray is better for games - when clearly game devs...
Nintendo was trying to put games on disc years before they struck a deal with Sony who could make it possible.
In '91 Nintendo dropped the deal because Sony had too much power in it. They did backdoor Sony on their technology and went with Sony's partner; Philips.
But Sony continued with Nintendo's plan & technology...and name; Play Station. Sony/Nintendo made another deal to include carts and CDs in the system but Sony screwed them and PS1 was born.

How can you lame ducks complain about $50 PER YEAR when you buy games that cost $60 that only lasts 1 WEEK...or BluRay movies that you watch 1x for $30+
And yea, Sony is making improvements to PSN...how many years did it take for them to implement cross-game invites? A feature that's been on xbl since launch 2002.

XBL is not free for a reason...why don't you just ask konami & their shlityy servers...or other devs who put up servers. It costs money to buy, install, upgrade and MAINTAIN.
And the XBL = $250 for 5 years thing is just STUPID too. You don't sign a contract ya know. But that's like me adding the cost of ANY console + games that you HAVE to buy:
PS3 $600 + 3 games (that's all they have worthy of buying) = $780...oh yea and extra controller $830...wait BluRay...
They made the PC free probably cause it's less user base. And it has more free alternatives that actually compare to it...rather than PSN which can't hold a candle to it.

Story was crap. Graphics was crap. Was not worth $60. It should've been released for $30 like Lost Planet.
I may pick this up if I find out the story is more compelling than having to fight the same boss like 8x.

That's why EA has gotten stronger to the point of threating to buy out even not-so-small dev companies like Ubisoft.

I don't care if the game isn't dev'd by EA. If EA slaps their logo on it, I don't buy it.
BTW It intrigues me how PS3 boys hate on MS for some of the same reasons, if not similar...yet turn the other cheek when it comes to EA.
I don't understand how people buy the same sports games for $60 EACH YEAR when the major changes are mostly roster or uniforms. And those that buy the Nascar series EACH YEAR...should be shot.

360 could access friends list from anywhere since 2005 (Orig. xbox since 2002). PS3..after almost 3 years.

I stopped playing MGS after PS1. I grew up from enemies not being able to see you hidden in a box.
Sam Fisher WAS the answer but now Ubisoft screwd that series all up. Chaos Theory being the best in the series (especially the online co-op).

Avatars will take some getting used to. I understand why they went that route...same reasons why Nintendo & Sony made online somewhat of a priority this gen. I'd still prefer my custom gamerpics, especially the ones I get with my webcam.
@8.1 It's not MS nor XBL but the game devs who place the limits on players online tool. Why would I want to play a game with 30 people to a team when half won't speak and the other half are ignorant but can't be muted?? And Black Hawk Down on the old xbox was like 50 players - more players doesn't necessarily make the game better.
